Good coffee beds were comfortable. Staff were helpful with problems that came up

No linens for the convertible sofa, not enough coffee or cups in the room (different sizes from downstairs required). A/c needs updating.

Breakfast was great! So many selections.

The hotel was clean and convenient. Ricky at the front desk was very helpful even at the late hour we arrived. The location of the hotel is convenient to the mall area and 30 minutes anywhere we ended up going so seems to be pretty centrally located. The hotel could use a bit of refreshing but thankfully the bed was comfortable. Usually the beds are as hard as the floor but these actually had some cushion to them. We were there to visit our daughter so didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel but all the staff was friendly and we would stay here again. The cost for the hotel is very reasonable.

The room was large and amenities were great. Breakfast was very good.

The sleeper sofa needed to be replaced, you could feel every spring through the paper thin mattress. Additionally, the carpet in the hallway is absolutely filthy.

I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in October 2013. My mom and I have been IHG members in 2018. I believe if I am not mistaken, we have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tucson Mall for a long time, and I have to say that this is truly our favorite “to-go” place to stay at. My mom and I have known Xavier Macias & staff for a very long time. They truly are like family to us and really made our stay an unforgettable one. The staff definitely goes above and beyond and whatever we need during our stay they are always “on it” right away. The location is really easy to get to, and we’ve never had any problems at all. We’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere since it is very comfortable whenever we stay here a lot. Every time we stay here a lot, this definitely makes us feel like we are at home. We seriously just loved staying here a lot! We always love getting Room 206 because we just love staying in that room since it is spacious and we totally love the kitchenettes as well. I will always never forget when my mom and I stayed for two days while I was undergoing radioactive iodine therapy; we definitely took advantage of the kitchenettes. If that room is not available or out of order, we totally understand that Room 208 is also good too. The “value” of this hotel is amazing, because I always liked getting my reservations in advance. If anyone is staying here, I would suggest making your reservations in advance since sometimes groups or sports teams stay here occasionally, chances are you will have no problem at all. I wish I had given “Cleanliness” 10,000 stars since the housekeepers show “outstanding” cleanliness. A special shout-out to Carolina Cuestas, Christina Villalobos, and the housekeeping team going above and beyond; they are the true heroes of hospitality, and they are hard-working people. Laura from the breakfast attendant is super nice and amazing! Laura takes pride in what she does, and my mom and I just love her dearly! I want to point out that whenever we stay in Room 206, we sometimes hear noise on the 3rd floor, I am not sure what it is or who is doing that, but this has never interfered with our stay. I have been in the hospitality industry for about 5 years going on 6 years and I believe it would be nice if all hotels had quiet hours. I am not sure if the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tucson Mall has quiet hours, but maybe this is something that they can look into when they do the renovations coming soon. Based on my previous paragraph, the service here is amazing and unforgettable, I would also like to point out something really cool what had happened: On Monday, April 6th (Easter Monday) when my mom and I stayed here we noticed there were 4 fresh water bottles in the room since we are IHG reward members we had thought that this was a nice gesture of what they do. I had to go down to the lobby, and the one that had put water bottles in the room was the Front Desk Agent, Ricky Cardenas. When I went back up to the room, I had told my mom that it was Ricky that left the water bottles in the rooms and both of us had said, “Wow, that was pretty cool of what he did.” Ricky even gave me snacks at check-in, which was pretty cool. My mom and I we always love staying at really nice hotels and I and my mom too, we just love how they give out snacks and water bottles to guests, even the ones that are long-term guests. We just couldn’t thank Ricky enough for just providing exceptional service, especially leaving fresh water bottles. Ricky is amazing and he definitely does provide exceptional customer service. Thank you, Ricky for providing great customer service! We loved the amenities here at the hotel! My mom and I are always looking forward to staying here longer! We can't wait to come back on Friday and beyond!
