River Mountain Lodge

Location to downtown and bus to the lifts and the rest of town. The facilities were nice. Multiple hottest and nice gym area. Staff were wonderful. Large closet to keep luggage out of my way.

My room had mutiple spackel marks and the heater on one wall was smashed and cover removed. It had exposed coils. The window covering wax about 4 inches from the wall exposing the sides to light and viewing wich faced the bed and changing area. Im sure the other rooms are much better.

After reading some of the negative reviews, I was a little bit worried about this place, but it was completely unjustified! I booked this back in the fall for our February 2026 snowboarding vacation. This is our fourth time to Breckenridge. Being an epic passholder we always stay at a Vail resort because I get a 20% off discount. The first year we stayed at a hotel that is no longer part of Vail resorts, the second two times we stayed at Mountain thunder Lodge, which was kind of expensive, so I was looking for something a little bit more budget, friendly. This checked all the boxes! It was clean, comfortable, lots of amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. I think the biggest advantage is that it is directly across the street at the end of the 4 o’clock run, which was so convenient to board all the way back to our hotel as opposed to having to wait for the gondola and then walk a block or so. Also, when you walk out the back door, there is a tiki bar attached that serves some good food as well and you’re right on the backside of Main Street. Literally two minutes out the front door, across the covered bridge and head to the right through the little plaza area and you’re on Main Street. Two minutes tops. We enjoyed the hot tubs, the sauna, the exercise room, free snacks at the front desk, coffee/tea bar every morning. The pool was out of order for maintenance but not likely something I would’ve used anyways in February. So many drinks/snack snacks/toiletries, etc. available for purchase right at the front desk in case you needed something. For those who are wondering, like I was, since each room is individually owned, yes, they do supply towels, washcloths, a pool towel that you get at the front desk and soap, shampoo, toilet paper, Kleenex, etc. Just like you would expect in any traditional hotel room. Was it fancy? No. But that’s not what we need or looking for. We were looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay every evening after a day on the slopes. And this fit the bill perfectly! Would highly recommend and planning to book again next year!!

The location was AWESOME! It is about a 10 minute walk to the cutest town. We enjoyed great shopping and excellent meals. The hotel is very clean and welcoming. The hot tubs are a major bonus. We were also thankful that the shuttle pulls up right in front of the hotel and takes us directly to the chairlifts.

Everything was great.

Fireside lounge was comfortable. On-site parking. Location was so close to downtown.

Rooms were small.
