"AWFUL for families with children!"

Horrendous and DO NOT book if you are a family with children. Don't be tempted. I tried to cancel as we couldn't make the booking since my child suffered heat exhaustion at an event on the hottest May day on record - and needed attention by four medics. I contacted the hotel and they categorically insisted we drive 170 miles in the heat wave (33C-35C) with a child suffering from heat exhaustion. They refused my appeal. We had to go to a nearby Airbnb instead. IHG still refuses to refund. The customer service is the worse ever by a hotel chain. It's truly awful, I don't have the words....

The room confortable, airy and modern. Appearance around the hotel.

One of the lifts out of order. Therefore, having the use of one lift for guests needing it was an inconvenience.

"Good value"

Easily accessible to where I needed to go. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

One of the lifts was broken which meant long wait times for the lift. Breakfast was very busy and the food wasn't replenished quick enough. Lighting in the room is bad and AC isnt powerful Old tvs need to update for smart TVs. Rooms are a bit basic and need freshening up they smell stale and damp.

"All good, except the area it is in."

Breakfast was very satisfying and varied. All the the staff were helpful. The room was very bright and quite sizeable. It was extremely good value. Very secure.

The parking was payable. The position is convenient, being near the station and town centre, but it is not a very pleasant area.

"It’s a budget hotel, you get what you pay for."

Location was close to my office.

Unfortunately booking was lost on their system which took a while to resolve. Room, averagely clean and missing TV remote.
