The staff was very friendly and polite. We arrived about three hours before the official check-in time and were accommodated immediately, which we truly appreciated. The location is good — close to the beach, with nice views, and it is easy to reach different parts of the island by taxi. Cleanliness was on a high level. Although the room itself is quite old, it was cleaned daily and the bed linen and towels were changed regularly.

Unfortunately, the food completely ruined our stay and became the final breaking point. Almost all meals were extremely poor and practically inedible. The smell in the restaurants was very strong and unpleasant. Even my husband, who normally eats everything without any issues, felt sick after the food and had to leave the restaurant. Today it was so bad that we ended up going to a supermarket to buy food, because eating at the hotel was simply impossible. Yesterday at the restaurant I could not eat a single bite. Now I am lying with severe stomach pain and burning, feeling completely unwell, and honestly just dreaming of getting home to finally eat normal food. This is absolutely not acceptable. Throughout the week I was barely able to eat anything and survived mostly on fruit. Even the vegetables tasted artificial. The food felt more like a hospital or nursing home diet: everything steamed, bland, without seasoning, and the meat was dry and hard to eat. We also booked two dinners at the hotel’s seafood restaurant, hoping for better quality, but the experience was exactly the same. As a result, after a week of trying to eat at this hotel, I developed serious stomach problems and constant nausea. Considering the price of around 230€ per night, this is unacceptable. It is currently not high season in Madeira, the hotel is not crowded, and for this price — especially in an old hotel — at least the food should be prepared properly. Spa: The spa was another disappointment. The indoor pool was cold despite being advertised as heated — only a few degrees warmer than outside. Before noon, the hammam and sauna were cold or barely warm. We paid 150€ for a massage for two people, but the massage room was very cold, I was freezing during the entire session, the massage itself was very mediocre, and instead of silence and relaxation, the masseur kept talking nonstop. Additionally, the spa has panoramic windows facing ongoing construction works.

Good clean hotel in all areas. Friendly staff and excellent beachside position .Enjoyed the live entertainment and the variety of food was very good .

Car park was very small maybe designated parking slots along main road would be better .
