The Black Mountain Inn

This place was close to where we wanted to be, 5 minutes to downtown brattleboro. It was adequate. Beds were comfortable and room was large. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a good dinner rec upon check in and the owner prepared hot water for our tea in the morning.

Room smelled musty and like pets. Full disclosure - I know they are pet friendly so not too surprising. Giant cobwebs and lots of spiders just outside the room at night so much so that upon opening and closing the door quickly a few spiders traveled in on the backside of our room door. Pool area was ok. Great pool but tons of bugs in the water. This place just needs a good cleaning of the walkways that take you to your room, and some freshening up of the rooms. I'm sure the carpet is very old and the reason for smells.

Our room was dirty and it smelled musty, there was an old hot tub that didn’t work. When I booked it , it never said anything about a hot tub in the room. We checked out 20 minutes after we got there and they didn’t even ask why we were checking out, so I think they knew why or didn’t care.

Great room, clean, quiet, helpful and friendly staff.

The staff was very friendly upon check in. The hotel was clean and in a good location. For the price it was a good value and had a small grab and go breakfast in the morning.

Folks that run the Inn are very friendly and helpful. Wanted to help in any way. I would definetly stay there again and I have tryed them all in Brattleboro, VT

Lovely front desk staff and cat. Room was clean and spacious. Grab and go style breakfast was just what we needed to hit the road early.

Spacious room in a nice Inn with a swimming pool. Few minutes drive from downtown Brattleboro. Room had a refrigerator and a microwave. Plenty of free parking. The family who owns the Inn couldn’t have been any nicer or knowledgeable. We took them up on a few of their dinner suggestions.
