Motel 6 Morehead, KY

This poor property is old and there are tenants who live there. Old rusty, junky vehicles in lot look bad, windows open with tenants shoes sitting out to dry. But the worst was water dripping from above AC unit and it came right into my room on top of my AC unit. Dripped down electric cord. So unsafe. They were VERY quick to move me out of room but I had to put garbage can under unit to collect the water. I feel like they were going to do nothing about the water damage. Can probably overflowed. Management was very responsive to me.

Stay elsewhere. The staff at this hotel did not honor a pre-paid three night stay and refused refund, forcing us to book elsewhere.

For the price I was satisfied. The dead bugs on the windowsill were off putting, but the bed was comfortable and the staff polite.

There was an extremely large pair of pennies underneath the bed between the boxsprings and the mattress would also appear to be blood stains on the Curtains and cigarette burns in the sheets!

Absolutely terrible

The staff was very kind and attentive. The hotel was as clean as you might expect, no obvious issues with the cleanliness. However, the hotel appears to be primarily a short term residential environment. There are barbecue grills lined up behind the hotel (out the first floor windows) for residents to cook and you can see cooking supplies lined up in the windows. Many of the rooms seem to be converted for other purposes, or the doors are simply broken and don't have locks or knobs. Many people smoking and loitering, no concern for safety, but the smoke was very heavy. I am glad this facility is available for the people who need it and I appreciate the efforts to make short term guests comfortable, but I would not recommend it for the casual traveler. We left after one night and found another property.

Hotel is very basic. No microwave or refrigerator. Room is clean but there were multiple visible wall repairs in room and restroom. Overpriced for what we got.

My reservation was cancelled (by whom? No one seems to know), and the only thing left was a smoking room, so everything smelled badly. The hallways were noisy, the TV had no remote, the mattresses and bedclothes were worn, and the toilet couldn’t handle *liquid* waste well (I dared not try solid waste).

insects in the room and bathroom a sink plunger didn't work.

The motel was very old and run down. When we arrived many of the room windows were open and it appeared people were living there. The room had dead roaches and other bugs on the floor. The lights did not work when we entered the room. Apparently one the lamps had the lightbulb unscrewed and the lamp on the switch was not plugged in. The shower facet handle was not attached making it difficult to turn on the water or even adjust the temperature. The whole building smelled like cigarette smoke due to the motel having smoking permitted in certain rooms. Would not recommend staying here. I will say that the two ladies that worked the desk were very nice.
