The Edgemoor Hotel

Nice hotel, although a little pricey.Some parts of the hotel could certainly benefit from some repainting. The bedroom was comfortable and big. The meal in the restaurant was very nice with good service

Very comfortable one night stay at the Edgemore Hotel. Warm welcome from staff. Very comfortable well appointed room. Excellent food served in the small but cosy restaurant. Would definitely stay here again.

Spent a delightful few days at this hotel, the owners and staff were exceptionally friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. Our dog was made very welcome, not only in our room but also in some public areas and we could eat with him there if we wished. Breakfasts and evening meals were of a very high standard, plenty of choice and very high quality. Our room was very well appointed and we had our own private patio. Well worth visiting and we will certainly be back.

I arrived just in time for food in the restaurant. The hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel was very nice. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. there was an outside area at the back of my room and it could have done with darker curtains as the lights didn't go out until after 12 but that is a minor point. The food was good reasonable priced. would stay again and would come back for leisure purposes as well.

Two nights on a visit to old friends in Devon: needed a comfortable place in quiet surroundings. The Edgemoor was just right- only regret is that we didn't have opportunity to enjoy an evening meal in the restaurant. We were too busy this trip, but will manage it next time.

Very friendly staff, good facilities and beautiful dartmoor all around

Chose the Edgemoor Hotel to enjoy a short break exploring Dartmoor. On arrival, we were met with a really warm welcome and found the staff attentive, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was quiet ,warm and comfortable and the breakfasts superb; we extended our stay as we were enjoying the hotel and surrounding area so much!! Would highly recommend this hotel.

I do business in Exeter regularly but am pleased to go the extra 20 or so minutes out close to the moors to this charming place. Walking the lovely grounds and entering the classic inn makes me think I'm in a movie - and the service and comfort made me feel very special. ALL of the staff were impeccable and attentive ( waiting on us hand and foot would be an apt expression - while classy, friendly and respectful also come to mind. And then the "neighborhood". A very short drive and your are thrust into the lovely moors and, turning slightly a different direction, your wind your way through hedge row lined lanes, forests ( expected hobits to pop out around every turn) and a photo-op every second. Our dinner was impeccable and the full English breakfast was perhaps the best I've ever had. Can't wait to go back.

We celebrated our Ruby Wedding Anniversary at The Edgemoor. Service was excellent and staff did above and beyond to make our stay memorable. If you want easy access to Dartmoor this is the hotel for you. A Country House style hotel. Two minutes up the road and you can climb Haytor and explore the delights of the moor.

The hotel was excellent and the food too eas very special. In addition the staff were helpful, professional but also highly amusing!, I would certainly recommend friends to the hotel, nothing was too much for anyone
