Charming hotel with an excellent restaurant, wonderful views, great pool and very friendly staff.

Service was good, be mindful this hotel is at the top of what is essentially a mountain. The drive up and down is actually scary to the point of wanting to avoid coming and going from the hotel. However There are no shops or restaurants within walking distance of the hotel therefore it can feel a bit isolating. Taxis are £25 euro each way into the local town. The food and drinks at the hotel is expensive and you will be charged 5 euro for a bottle of water which seems crazy and roughly 8/9 euros for a class of wine. The breakfast was lovely, lots of options and service was very good. The main attraction to this hotel is the view which is stunning. The pool area is also very nice and clean. It is overall pretty expensive but you are paying for the view. It is a family run establishment and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. We read the previous comments about the drive up to the hotel before booking but really could not appreciate just how unpleasant this was until we had to do it ourselves and how restrictive it made our stay. Overall nice hotel if you can stomach the drive. Pretty expensive. The mattress was also pretty hard and uncomfortable but got used to it after a few nights.

Hotel avec une vue magnifique. Personnel sympathique et bon restaurant. Par contre les chambres standard vue mer sont très vieillissantes. Elle mériterait vraiment un coup de neuf. Je trouve le prix très élevé par rapport à la prestation de la chambre.

Très bon Acceuil une belle bâtisse avec beaucoup de caractère dans un très beau cadre une belle vue sur Ventimiglia Le personnel est vraiment serviables un petit déjeuner très copieux il est dommage que la météo n était pas au rendez-vous pour profiter de la piscine et de la terrasse Le côté négatif est l accès un chemin très étroit où il faut anticiper car par endroits il est impossible de se croiser Et les moustiques eux étaient au rendez-vous

Erg gastvrije en vriendelijke eigenaar. We kregen een kosteloze update naar een kamer met uitzicht over zee. En ook uiterst vriendelijk gastvrij personeel. Wat opviel zijn de prijzen in het restaurant, die zijn zeer stevig. Wel een voortreffelijke en op rode wijn vaten gelagerde witte wijn voor € 32,- . Tegenover de vanaf € 8,- per glas voor de huiswijnen een prima koop! Zeker een aanrader dit hotel. Het ligt vrij hoog in de ‘heuvels’ en heeft daarom een prachtig uitzicht over het kustgebied. De prijs die je daarvoor betaalt, is een tochtje omhoog via een smalle weg omhoog en een reeks echte haarspeldbochten.

Peccato che non si possano assegnare più di 5 stelle. Alla riserva di Castel dAppio sei accolto come uno di famiglia e tutti danno il loro massimo per farti sentire a tuo agio, il cibo é ottimo,la colazione superba. . CI TORNEREMO PRESTO!

L'hôtel a une superbe vue et déjeuner en terrasse est magique. Le personnel est adorable et serviable. Le bémol est au niveau du restaurant, les prix sont très élevés par rapport à ce qui est proposé.

A bit off the beaten path but the views were stunning, the room was spacious, the service was outstanding, and breakfast was solid too. Yes this is an older property that could use a refresh, but for the money it can’t be beat. Note the map on Apple didn’t take us all the way to the property but there are signs along the way so keep driving - gated entry to parking right off the street near the top of the hill - can’t miss it.
