Vacation Village Phra Nang Inn

Considering its proximity to the beach and businesses this is probably one of the best locations in town. The room was interesting Lee and comfortably laid out with the balcony open to the street and the beach. Breakfast was quite good well laid out and completely sufficient. I could easily recommend this one again.

Best thing about this hotel is the location, right on the beach and central to restaurants bars and boats to other beaches. Staff are lovely, bed was comfortable and although very central was not noisy at night. Bathroom could do with a makeover and the internet is extremely poor in the rooms although OK if you sit near reception. Overall good value for money for this hotel in great location in Ao Nang.

Very good centralised location. Room and environment is very dated. However it is very clean. Staff are very helpful and accorded us with good service. The breakfast is adequate but nothing to write about.

We booked Phranang Inn for its amazing location. It was right near Ao Nang Beach and located at the junction of 2 very popular and 'happening' streets. Lots of halal restaurants which caters our needs with amazing (though pricey) food. There's also plenty of souvenir and tour shops and massage parlors to keep us occupied. Rich from reception was great and welcoming. Sam, the manager was also very friendly and helpful. She helped us when I was getting concerned the tour we booked had not arrived on time to pick us up. The staff are certainly are the best things about the hotel. Breakfast was OK, not much of a spread. I was disappointed the sausages were not halal as I thought the hotel serve halal food as Krabi has a high Muslim population, but this was our fault for not researching properly. The relatively poor score is mostly related to the room condition. The advertised photos made the room looked modern and amazing but I was sorely disappointed on arrival. The rooms are dark, with very dated decor and worn fittings and finishing. I'm sure for some people it adds to the charm, but for me it reminded me of my grandparents old 'kampung' house with wooden musty furniture and doors. The corridors to the room are also dated, sadly I feel this hardly justifies the price charged. I overheard another guest complaining about the hot water. The hot water does seem to vary in pressure and quite tricky to get the hang of, but I managed it OK and find it suffice. Wifi is good..

Excellent location, but the place is a bit worn down. Worked well for our family. Desk staff does not speak English very well, causing some communication challenges. Did not care for the check out as the staff was going through our two rooms for several minutes trying to account for missing things like a cheap drinking glass, etc. While everything was eventually accounted for, for the amount of money we paid for this place you would think they wouldn’t be so cheap about stuff. The free breakfast was awesome, without a doubt the best part of our stay.
