Courtyard by Marriott Sacramento Folsom

The nicest hotel in Folsom. Always top notch service and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Charge parking $12 per day

I had a lovely stay, the bed was very comfortable, it smelled really good in the room and hallways, and the staff was very friendly.

It was disappointing to note that there are no microwave and refrigerator. I haven’t been a hotel recently which doesn’t have drinking water.

The room appeared clean but as we got ready to get into the bed, we noticed body hair in the bed. The second thing we noticed was a stain on the comforter, a coffee stain that was sticky and smelled like coffee. When we went to the front desk, she informed us that she was the only staff there and couldn’t change the bedding for us but could give us bedding to change ourselves. The bedding she handed us were to flat sheets. So we had to sleep between two flat sheets, no comforter and were really paranoid about if the pillowcases were changed over. We asked her to leave a note for management to contact us in the morning but they did not.

Great hotel. Front desk staff was great, polite and gave great recommendation for directions and restaurants.

Bed was a bit hard but ok

Lifetime Titanium here. Almost always get upgraded. First time to get downgraded. Booked a king room. Photo showed a couch. When checking in we were told we could get a bigger room if we don’t need the pull out couch. We said ok. But It’s smaller. Has an armchair and no possible room for a couch of any size. Then told nothing else is available. This is an old property. My sister lives in Folsom and she said it was the first hotel built near I-50 (there are many now). The AC is under the window and loud. Bathroom sink is outside the bathroom so if one person is sleeping, that disturbs them. Toilet sits low (old style toilet). The worst Courtyard we have stayed in over the past 5 years or so. The new style is better and this isn’t one of them. No maid service. We are staying 4 days. Never mentioned this when we checked in or told when you book. Gave us two bottles of water for our status like other Marriott properties do. But found out it’s only once at check-in and not daily. Paper cups for coffee provided. No tea. It’s better to check out each day and go to another property to get a cleaned room and water. Definitely will not stay here again.

Courteous and friendly service. Staff helpful and considerate. Clean rooms & public areas, nice outside back patio area.

Omission of prepayment (booked & paid 11 months previously) was charged again at check out. However desk manager sorted it all out so we're happy in the end. Would definitely stay again
