Hotel Urban, a Small Luxury Hotel of the World

The staff is very nice. Breakfast is good.

This is not a 5* hotel. The rooms are old and worn out. We spent 1 night in a room where there was no aircon and piping hot. The sound proofing was terrible - you could literally hear everything from inside the hotel (other rooms, hallways, steps and so on) as well as from the street.

Le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas bien la première nuit. Et la soufflerie très bruyante. Cela a été corrigé à notre demande le lendemain. Le lendemain soir, pas de capsule de café pour notre machine et pas d'eau minérale. Quand nous sommes rentrés du diner nous avons appelé l'accueil de l'hôtel et le réceptionniste nous a apporté les capsules et de l'eau en précisant qu'il était tard... En bref, le service était moyen. Une impression mitigée. Un vrai 5 étoiles . Emplacement top. Déco au top mais service laissant à désirer. Ils avaient organisé un diner du jour de l'an au tarif de 495€ auquel nous ne sommes pas allés. Ils avaient réquisitionné le bar et en rentrant malgré le peu de monde au bar de l'hôtel (deux personnes seulement), nous n'avons pu prendre un dernier verre en rentrant dans notre hôtel sous prétexte que nous n'avions pas pris le dîner du jour de l'an. Moyen moins... Peut être que nous y sommes allés à la mauvaise période . A revoir.

Nothing I didn’t like

The Hotel Urban Madrid has been one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had, starting with the warm welcome and glass of cava at my 7am check-in for a seven-day stay. The staff at this hotel is the most pleasant I have experienced in my *many* years of traveling. There's always a couple of outstanding staff members, but I have to say every single person I encountered was a true professional - warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable and I was accommodated with a walk-in shower as requested. My view was that of a nearby wall, BUT the wall was beautiful! No details at the Hotel Urban were overlooked. Including fresh roses in my room! The morning breakfast buffet was hearty and loaded with fresh foods of all sorts, and included a hot dish to order from the kitchen. Friendly and attentive service from all in the restaurant, too. Tapas at the very comfortable bar were also delicious and plentiful. Did I mention how fabulous the staff is at Hotel Urban? Let me say it again. Each and every one a winner. Hearty congratulations to General Manager Jorge, and Guest Relations Manager, Bryam. ¡Muchas gracias a todos! I recommend staying at the Hotel Urban when in Madrid - and by all means - ENJOY THE ART! The hotel is absolutely beautiful.

Excellent location, excellent service starting with the doorman.Nice rooms, that perhaps could do with a bit more of warmth. Nice toiletries. But what separates a well run hotel from a not so well run one is how they deal with unpleasant eventualities. My original room had an issue with heating or to be more precise, the absence of it. It was Sunday and the issue was not properly addressed to my disappointment, comes Monday qnd they went above and beyond to make sure that the situation was rectified. Would have liked to give it 5 stars as the great majority of the staff is genuinely professional and warm. Unfortunately will have to stay at “4.5” but would stay again, price x quality quite favorable.

Suite interior sem janela , isto é, tinha duas janelas estreitas que só uma abria um pouco e que davam para um pátio interior escuro. Estou certa que teriam disponível com vista cidade porque não estava cheio

The breakfast is delicate and possesses high-quality as suggested by its Michelin 3-star standard. The location is top-notch as you can walk to Prado, Gran Via, Square Sol and Mayor ... etc. Also the subway stations are nearby (Sol, Sevilla, and Gran Via). The room ambiance and interior is relaxing and quiet.

The room can be a bit larger as we could not easily open both of our luggages.
