Reunion Resort & Golf Club

Just came back from a 4 night Family Thanksgiving Vacation/Reunion at Reunion Resort and Golf Club. First the good: The Resort it self is large with very well maintained grounds. The clubhouse and Main Bldg. were resort like with several restaurants and a great view of the Golf Course. Most of our family stayed in one of the large houses on the grounds that are available for rent. It was exceptional! The Bad: We stayed in a "Deluxe 3 Bedroom 3 Bath Villa" ( Room J-201 @ 7618 Sandy Ridge Drive) . It was extremely disappointing and to call it a "villa" is very misleading,. more a 3 bedroom apartment. Our unit appeared to be one of the only units occupied on our floor as most of the others had no furniture and were totally empty ( windows were open). The bldg. was totally in need of basic maintenance, new paint, trash removal etc. Our actual unit, while large and spacious was decorated in early 80's/90's furniture which was old and worn. Every piece of wood in the unit from kitchen and bath cabinets to bedroom sets was scratched, dented and frankly in need of refinishing or better yet replacement. A few of the cabinet doors did not close. The TV's were clearly 10/15 years old and 1 stopped working during our stay. Because we were there mainly celebrating with family in another part of the resort we didn't get around to using the kitchen in our unit till late in day 2, when we lost over $100.00 in groceries as we discovered that the refrigerator did not work properly as the door would not shut tightly and had no seal, the food did not stay cold and we could not eat it. Bath amenities were of the discount store type and were so small they were gone after 2 days. No housekeeping , so we had to go to drugstore to replenish. Beds were comfortable, which is the only positive i can add here. I take some blame for not requesting a new room but it was a quick trip and we had already unpacked before we really got to be in the unit for some time so we spent as much time as possible away from the unit.. Overall i liked the Resort itself and might consider a revisit but i would spend more time getting truthful information on the accommodations , especially the "villas"!! Stay away from our room until it has been updated!!

Stayed in a nice villa on the second floor. Elevator was efficient. Beds were comfortable. One room was always warmer than the others. Nearby pool was quiet and water was warm. Visited the waterpark briefly. Was not easy to follow the signs for parking and it was a long walk to the entry gate. The lazy river was warm and relaxing. Villa was just inside a resort entry gate, so easy to leave to visit attractions.

Resort is generally very attractive and well maintained. Clubhouse and main building were very nice with multiple restaurants and a great view of the golf course.

Every piece of wood from cabinets in kitchen and baths to bed frames was seriously scratched and in need of refinishing or even better, replacement. A few of the cabinet doors did not close properly. The tv’s are clearly all over 10-15 years old and 1 of them stopped working during our stay.Because we were there celebrating Thanksgiving with family who had rented a large house on the grounds, we didn’t really use the kitchen till late in day 2 and discovered after losing over $100.00 in groceries, that the refrigerator did not work properly as the door did not close and seal properly. Bath amenities are a joke and lasted 1 day given their small size. Overall the unit ( looked like we were the only unit on our floor with furniture in it and in use) felt old and worn. Beds were reasonably comfortable which is basically my only positive here! While i would consider a revisit to the resort, I would do a lot more homework on the accommodation!!! I take some responsibility for not demanding a change in rooms but it was a quick 4 night trip and we were unpacked and into the trip before reality set in here on our room and I didn’t want to disrupt my family. Reported it to management on our exit and got nothing more than an apology!

Everything was ok have stayed at better resorts. There was no parking at water park. The pools could have been bigger for amount of people there.

The location of the resort is very convenient to get in/out from I-4, close proximity to the restaurants, grocery stores and golf courses. We stayed at the 3 bedrooms and it was very spacious and clean. They have 3 beautiful golf courses on the property but we were able to play at 1 course only due to the junior tournaments they hosted that weekend. Overall, we had a great time staying at the resort!

Reunion is a large master-planned community. The unit was beautiful, clean, and well-equipped. The amenities are spread out, but the community offers a free shuttle. Reunion is a bit further from the theme parks than other properties.
