Hotel Kull von Schmidsfelden

Just nearby the plant where I need to be when visiting Germany. Handy for me.

Stayed at this hotel recently for one evening. Other reviewers are right that it is old and a little outdated. However, I also agree that it adds to the uniqueness of the place (just like the unusual décor in the breakfast room!). But it was a good value and the service was excellent. The staff (owners?) were very helpful and accommodating to every request and at least one of them spoke better English than most Americans!

I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights, and as such, the hotel is a good, average hotel. The hotel is clean, the staff are nice and friendly, and the breakfast is OK. But everything seems old and outdated, like it has not been updated for 30-50 years. Bathrooms are old and used, small holes in the wall etc... So there is nothing wrong with this little hotel, but it is just to old to be a nice place to stay. Only real complaint is about the very unstable Wifi connection on my room. Would say that for a one night stay over it is fine, but anymore i would not recommend.

The hotel is located in the heart of Bad Herrenalb with quiet dated decor all around but the old fashion setting of the hotel adds a little character and charm to the whole experience. The rooms are dated but clean. The breakfast selection is never ending - everything you can wish for is there. The owners are very friendly and very helpful. If you are after a traditional black forest feel - you will find it here.

Spent two nights in this hotel. Good locacion for visiting the Black forest region. Rooms were large and clean. Hotel is old and in need of updating in public areas. Decoration in breakfast rroom was disturbing. Seeing animal skulls and stuffed creatures while eating breakfast is not good for digestion. Car parking is on first come first service basis and internet access is patchy in some parts of hotel although it is free.

Was good value for money- wifi was only available lose to reception but could work with that- breakfasts were excellent. location is good.

Excellent breakfast. Free car parking in a proper garage. Excellent views & right in the centre of town. Exterior has seen better days.

Hotel was clean and rooms were of a good size. Location was perfect next to bars and resturants but in a side street so noise was never a problem. In fact it was very peaceful. The breakfast served each morning was amazing lots of hot coffee, german breads, cheese, eggs, cereal , and a large selection of cold meats. The only down side to this hotel is that it's a bit dated and could do with a lick of paint but don't let that put you off. All in all a great hotel for the price you pay.
