Ordentliches Hotel, dass ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen ist. Abendessen und Restaurant waren top. Frühstück war gut.

Unser Zimmer bzw. Bad könnte für den Preis mal renoviert werden.

Sehr üppiges Frühstück, ruhiges Zimmer zur Gartenseite, gute günstige Lage für Ausflüge, gerne wieder.

Service is really good, nice family run with great atmosphere - lovely restaurant with great food and drink! Very comfortable room with nice modern bathroom.. Always stay here when I visit Alfeld!

The food in the restaurant at the evening was good. It is paid separately (not included of course) and a bit pricey. Would eat there again. Besides: Nothing else. (See „what didn’t you like“ section)

1. Our arrival: - They tried to trick us staying in their worst room which is with furniture from 1920, never cleaned and smells like smokers paradise (for 250€ for 2 nights!). Looked nothing like the pictures. We also need extra cleaning diente dust allergies. Nothing was cleaned! There was dust over dust as if you leave your house uncleaned for MONTHS! They were that sassy to present it as „their rustic romantic part of the hotel“. That was a WOW moment with the worst room I have seen in my entire life (not only in a hotel, but overall) - After we complained about this room, the woman at the front desk was not surprised and only said „yes, I do agree, let me get the manager, this is normally a room where workers sleep for very low budget“… The manager excused like 399x times about it claiming that it is not his mistake. Only after telling him that we are not going to stay there and they will pay for the compensation he was after 20-30 minutes able to give us a different room, which looked like the ones on the pictures. 2. Our stay: - Even this, „freshly prepared“ room, was SUPER DIRTY (see pictures of our own dust cleaning from wiping 1x over the desk! Super disgustingly dirty, but hey, we needed to attend our event the next day). - The mattresses are super hard like rocks and have a cover sheet that „squeaks“ every time you move a leg. - There was a Wedding with people shouting through the whole hotel until 3 am where nobody informed us about or even cared to keep the people quiet. - The restaurant on the second evening was just not available as they have an closed event dinner where they try to force people into joining as the regular kitchen is closed in parallel. The problem: the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and there is basically nothing else but getting a (also not so good) kebab around the corner… - Our room was not cleaned during our stay, so we had no toilet paper or fresh towels
