Room was warm and comfortable, everything I needed was there. Staff friendly and helpful. Appreciated being changed upon arrival to a ground floor room, thank you. Parking was pretty much right outside the unit, also much appreciated.

The bed was harder than I'm used to (have a good topper pad at home to help). The fridge was very noisy - unplugged the first night. Noise was a loud cracking noise in the icebox. Wriggled it about the next day and was much quieter the second night.

We stay here everytime we are in Christchurch, normally the start and end of a trip around the South Island. It's central and within waking distance to Hagley Parkand the city centre. Also close to shopping centres and heaps of restaurant/pub options. The owners are very accommodating and helpful. The cleaning staff do a fantastic job, for an older style accommodation they really keep the rooms clean and should be commended for their attention to detail.
