Days Inn by Wyndham Batavia Ohio

I spoke with Zenny Smith - Manager - about the following issues that ended in no resolution. First room 208 - toilet seat had no cover, tub was filthy, carpets were sticky & filthy (don’t walk barefoot), reeked of mold & mildew, entry light turned off immediately as soon as you switched on, my husband thought he was getting bit in bed, overall room felt very wet regardless of AC being on upon arrival. After a few nights of trying to overlook these things, we requested to be moved to a different room. Second room 308 - visibly cleaner, AC was not running so the room had a musty stench, tried to overlook & asked the front desk for air freshener. I was given their odor remover cleaner on hand, so I just sprayed floors & curtains to help temporarily. In addition, the bathroom door does not close unless you slam & force shut. Lastly, we found roaches in our bathroom (picture to show). All the above was brought to the manager’s attention. Zenny claimed they have never had any of these issues, no history of bugs, so in return no further resolution was made. I mentioned the smell of cigarettes & marijuana. They denied such thing. I mentioned how the sheriffs paid a visit to the hotel for a cigarette complaint 2 days ago. After our conversation I told them to walk down the first floor to smell it for themselves so they could not say I was making it up. They confirmed they could smell it. I booked this room for 3 adults & 1 infant. Zenny claimed our room was booked for 1 adult that I did not book for all my guests, that it was the lowest rate she could give us. In the rooms, the rates posted are equal from 1-4 persons a day regardless of whose error it was, mine or the hotel’s. Please consider before booking. The customer service was subpar along with the quality of rooms.

The breakfast more was really good both days

I I had a herd of elephants over my head for two nights the first night. They woke me up at 2 AM the second night. They woke me up at 3 AM. Management did not seem to care in the least, but kept telling me they were going up there and asking the family to quiet the kids down. It will work for about 15 minutes until they went on the warpath again.

Good breakfast, was in a hurry and didn't have the time to fully enjoy it

Didnt like being charged because I needed to check in 90 minutes early.

The facility was very clean

There are no places to sit outside and seating inside for breakfast was crowded. Lobby was uninviting. Mattress were comfortable but too soft for my liking. Water pressure 1 day completely stopped but came right back on.

It is the only place to stay in Batavia. The staff is always very nice as we have stayed here several times. The room we got this time smelled of mold. Noticed the smell the minute we opened the door. I saw black mold on the bathroom wall.
