Holiday Inn Express & Suites Danville by IHG

What I liked the most about this location was the people working there.

It was being remodeled which was okay. But the owner isn’t checking the work done. There are little touches which show an owner cares. In our room 228 the carpet was short cut and the old floor and wall were visible complete with crumpled drywall. Paint smears weren’t cleaned off trim in more than one place but especially on the lentils of the second floor elevator. In the bathroom the wallpaper was short cut. The bathroom had no table or counter to rest toiletries and the sink outside the room wasn’t large enough to accommodate any items. This is on the owners to check on these things and remedy any problems not the staff. The staff was excellent.

Fun in the warm pool, hot showers, and comfortable room!

The only thing that was disappointing was the pictures showed there was a hot tub, but after getting there it was gone.

The room was newly remodeled, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff was very friendly.

When I booked the hotel, it didn't mention online that the pool was closed. It's not a show stopper, but I paid for all of the amenities that weren't available. Maybe, you could let people know when there booking through you that certain things aren't available. I didn't get everything I paid for, but that is not the hotels fault.

East on/off access to the interstate. Clean. New furnishings. Good mattress.

Uncertainty about price of room when reserved —sometimes cost of room changes as travel date approaces (demand pricing), so I booked early to lock in a price that was not refundable. But room was reserved through Booking.com. I preferred the old days when we would call the hotel directly, rooms had set prices for that season; and reservations could be changed up to 4 pm on check-in day. That was a more civilized time.

When I saw the price for one night I was a little taken back because it’s just Danville but it was 100% worth the price! The fireplace was a nice touch! It felt very cozy away from home. The rooms and bathroom were spacious and clean. The WiFi was nice the bathroom has dove for body wash breakfast was amazing and hot lots of options and front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate me the beds were very comfortable I really enjoyed my stay & will be back
