This stylish hotel in a lovely location is a little dated and could use a nice refresh,but no reasonable person can complain if you see what you get for the money!!!!! The staff is friendly and professional. The breakfast is tastefull especially if you can take it at the lovely patio. One of the best price/quality ratios. Try it .

We stayed at Hôtel du Lac in Dax for one night and had a lovely experience. We arrived very late and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable and good value for money. The view from our window was beautiful, with a lovely lake view, and the outdoor terrace area was a nice place to sit and have breakfast. One small thing we found interesting was that the town was very dark after midnight because of the local lighting policy, which we thought was a great environmental initiative. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

There was nothing I disliked about the property, it was a great experience overall. The only thing to be aware of is that if you arrive very late, the streets can be completely dark between midnight and 6 am due to the local lighting policy, so drive carefully when using the nearby parking.
