Oualie Beach Resort

Really impressed with the setting, quite idyllic. The sun beds and hammocks are there right outside the room , the beach is 2 steps away and all you can hear is the lapping of the sea and the birds. Not jet skis or loud music to spoil the tranquility. Definitely will return, the 3 days here were not enough.

Besides the air conditioning not working, which may have just been a broken unit, this place was so nice. It's quaint, quiet and comfortable. You walk out of your room and go right to the beach.

Great protected bay. Great for swimming. Fun snorkeling, not much to see except conch and starfish. Front desk people were not helpful, did not know where the closest ATM was located. Seemed more interested in their devices.Stacy, however, was a bright light and very helpful and friendly as was John the owner. The Tuesday night jam was great and welcoming.

We stayed one night at the oaulie though we spend many fun evenings listening to music and days enjoying the beach. The room was ok but could use some love. The air conditioner made noise all night. We love the oaulie , but we would love it more with an update.

From St.Kits Airport to the water Taxi dock owner driver name Selly Rawling of 'Seamus drove to the dock . He also arranged the water Taxi so we wasted no time reached hotel on time. His service and total experience on the island was excellent.

We arrived on the water taxi, it docked right at the resort. We loved the ocean view from our cottage! The buildings are older, but pretty well maintained and very charming. It is certainly not a 5 star resort, but it was a very pleasant place to stay. We found the office staff to be sometimes very helpful and sometimes they acted as if we were interrupting them. We did not really ask very much of them, but they could have offered to help us learn about optional things to do while we were there. It would have been nice if they had been more forthcoming about how to get transportation to leave the resort. We had read reviews about TC being a taxi driver, so when we saw her car in the lot, we located her and arranged a tour of the island. That was a great thing to do. She was great, a real character! The hardest thing about staying here was that it felt isolated . The food at the restaurant was very high priced - too much for the size of servings and quality. We actually stayed at the Marriott on St. Kitts for a few days after leaving here and the prices were very similar, but the quality and quantity of food were much better at the Marriott.

Please book the transportation package from the airport to the hotel -- so worth the extra cost! Really nice place but they must make some improvement of the restaurant/food. The price of food is outrageous and it seems they use MSG (seasoning salt) in the food. To make matters worse, the portion is very small; we had to leave the hotel to find food in the town miles away after eating their miserly meal. Someone needs to open a food stall nearby...

Loved the quaint and unpretentious feeling of this hotel. Staff was so friendly. And the views were impeccable. You get the island feeling.

Was an adequate room for a night it two stay.
