Sleepy Forest Cottages

Really liked the room, it was really clean. Rooms are older with old furnishings. Only problem I had, is the rooms have thin walls, & heard everything from the room next to mine.

I could hear every movement from the room next to mine.

I was absolutely happy with my cabin. I didn’t need a full kitchen – the refrigerator (with separate freezer, not that crappy “freezer” within the fridge) and microwave – and sink – were perfectly adequate for our needs. The toaster was a nice touch. And, of course, a coffee maker and supplies. So I would call what we had a “kitchenette.” The bathroom was clean when we got there. And very satisfactory as far as the sink, toilet and shower were concerned. Happy there was a window that opened. The bathroom heater and exhaust fan worked well. The cabin had its own water heater so there was plenty of hot water – it stayed hot through both our long showers. I liked the location of Sleepy Forest Cabins although my partner did not. There are ample places to eat within what I would call walking distance and a 7/11 on the corner of Eureka and the main drag. If one wanted, they could walk the .9 miles to the Village. And visitor center and post office and the marina from which boat rides leave. The cabins are surrounded by trees both big and small. And I do mean BIG. It was peaceful and very pleasant to sit on the little deck. A definite Plus: gas heat so, when the power goes out (like it did twice), there is still heat. The power went out in the whole neighborhood, not in just the cabin. That’s what we thought initially and the circuit breaker box was very easy to find. Thank you for that. The bottom line? I will definitely stay at Sleepy Forest Cabins on my next trip to Big Bear Lake. And hopefully we’ll get the same cabin.

There were some little things that needed attention. Doorstop for the bathroom door to keep it from slamming into the toilet. And, as in almost everywhere I stay: more hooks and hangers are appreciated. (Although, in fairness, the hangers were easily stealable, so maybe that’s what happened. There were four.)

I just like the location of it but parking is a bit uncomfortable

It was just simply clean but it looked nothing like the photos and everything looks really old.

Уборка. Полное отсутствие уборки и смены билья за 4 дня ни разу не убрали, не сменили белье не вынесли мусор
