"Good value, spacious and comfortable business stay"

Friendly staff and lively atmosphere (at least relatively for a weeknight- it's nice when the lobby isn't eerily quiet like some hotels!). Decent room size and value for money. Good view, clean, everything I needed for a solo business trip. Breakfast was pretty good for that budget with fresh fruit and numerous continental options. I was able to check in efficiently and the reception staff were pleasant and helpful.

I did have to cross a busy motorway bridge to get there from town centre, but I didn't feel unsafe when walking back at night (just something to be aware of). It wasn't noisy / audible from room.

"Cheap but dirty"

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was good value for money

The tap water smelled of sewage, there was a towel with a plaster on it (I assume it had gone through the laundry and stayed stuck on), and the window was dirty. The room overall felt a bit "prison-y" and dirty.

location seems to be not in the best area. we came from London and our car was broken into overnight. hotel does not have parking but nearby there is a council one. It doesnt feel like a safe area. I will not return
