"Really enjoyed my stay. Will be back! Lovely decor, friendly staff, nice pool, stunning scenery."

10.0

Not really a 'breakfast person' but it was just perfect - some meats, cheese, fruit and baked goods - perfect. Coffee was gorgeous.

Nothing really. The location is a little out of town. I always debate as to whether to hire a car in Italy or not because I don't like worrying about parking, driving etc. This time I didn't. I would however hire a car when I visit next time. Massa Lubrense is a c.15 mins walk and a rather precarious one at that!

"amazing views, but a little less convenient for multiple reasons."

7.0

the view is amazing, and the terrace and pool area are really nice. with views of Visuvius as well as Capri, i can imagine the property has one of the best views of the whole are. the people working here were really friendly.

- as beautiful the location is, it is also a bit inconvenient. stores and restaurants are at a minimum of a 15 to 30 min walk on roads that have no sidewalk, or through little alleys that are not well maintained and can be tricky. - We could get new towels on request, but in over a week the room has not been cleaned once. - The breakfast was a disappointing. Croissants came out of a plastic sealed bag and orange juice out of a carton. We only ate it once as the quality was lower than an airplane meal. (especially the orange juice we found disappointing as the area is completely covered by not only lemon, but also orange trees.) we eventually chose to walk down Masa Lubrense every day to have breakfast at a local place with some fresh baked croissants and some fresh juice. - all over we felt the accomodation needed a better room service and meal options to be a hotel. for an apartment it would need some facilities to be able to prepare some food lets say. now it was a bit in between.

"A breathtaking view, disappointing hospitality."

4.0

The view was the best part! It was like something off of a postcard. We also loved the pool, as it was kept super clean and we had it mostly to ourselves during our stay. Their partnership with Torre One Fire restaurant was also a giant perk - the best restaurant in Massa Lubrense hands down (we may or may not have eaten dinner there every single night on top of our lunches).

There are so many things we didn't like about the "hotel". First off, the owner needs to learn how to run a business. He had a lovely summer student (who aided us and answered all of our questions throughout the entire stay). There was no housekeeping over the course of the 5 days that we stayed there (no fresh towels, refreshing of water bottles, etc.). We booked the hotel because of the hot tub that's advertised in the amenities available to all guests...that was far from the case. We were told that the hot tub was only for guests staying in the clock tower, which we found interesting because there was no mention of exclusive access to the hot tub depending on which room you booked. We were super peeved with Toni's lack of decorum and sliminess. We are thankful that Anna (his summer intern) did a fabulous job at trying to help us in any way that she could, and tried her best to make us as comfortable as possible. He really should rip a page out of her book. If it wasn't for the view and the wonderful restaurant we ate at, we'd be deeply disappointed with the amount of money we spent to stay at this so-called "hotel", and to make matters worse on our HONEYMOON. The worst part is there isn't an actual kitchen or staff that work on-site to assist you (it's just Toni and Ana). It was bizarre to say the least. I could go on, but I won't. I wouldn't recommend having any expectations going into your stay at Torre Elisabetta (except for the view - the view cannot be beaten).
