Long Bay Beach Resort

Long Bay was a perfect quiet retreat. The beachfront suite was beautifully appointed and the perfect spot for lounging on the patio or the beach just steps from our room. The staff was amazing. Very friendly and always accommodating.

YOU MUST BUY BREAKFAST WITH YOUR ROOM! This is the only way to go. It was over $200 each time we ate breakfast (2ppl) so to have it included in your stay is super smart. We also had dinner included as well, which was also extremely helpful. This might have been because we traveled in low season and a property only special but it is a must. So expensive the food. The room was fantastic. We were beach front! It was awesome. Our shower was gigantic and had a window overlooking the beach! Very sexy. The bed is low to the ground so this may be a problem for some ppl. The room was equipped with a large storage area for your clothes with hangers, a safe, mini fridge, coffee bar, desk with clock, and more. The resort provided 3 to 4 cardboard water bottles a day at no charge which was fantastic. The balcony had screens to block out the bugs but let in the air. Every night you could see the sunset from your room. So worth it. Id come back and stay here but not as long, we stayed 5 days and found ourselves a little stir crazy, only cause we are adventurous ppl

MOSQUITOS are horrible! bring spray! The room was hot as hell upon entering and they have a wall ac unit so it took hours to cool down. be sure to keep the doors closed. This property is located on the best beach in Tortola hands down; however, you cant go out in the water in many spots because of the rocks! and the surf was quite rough. There are spots where you can walk out but you will have to walk down to them, but its not far, and worth it. The property really needs to work on getting their beach set ups fixed up. They are in great shape but just not fully set up for everyone to use. I did not like the drive here. YALL, we are in TX where its flat. Its very mountainous, switchbacks and steep roads. Have nerves of steel or dont drive.

The hotel has a problem with Expedia (or the other way around) that needs some attention quick! When you make a reservation, you will see (and pay!) one amount for your whole stay …. but when you get to the hotel, you’ll find that you have an outstanding balance (of about $500 usd)!! Expedia says that is an issue that you have to take up with the hotel, and the hotel says that’s Expedia problem. In a nutshell: it’s the costumer problem. In my opinion it’s an Expedia problem and they NO interest in solving it.

There was a discrepancy with extra hotel fees not listed on the hotels.com invoice during checkin. It was explained at checkout. Otherwise the stay went well.

The property was beautiful and relaxing, and the staff was kind and helpful.

The food was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

My friend was charged for drinks at the bar that she didn't order.
