Ventozelo Hotel & Quinta

Sehr schöne Anlage mit freundlichem Personal. Das Abendessen war super lecker. Die Aussicht am Pool und allgemein die Umgebung ist wunderschön. Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht hier. Die Zimmer sind sauber und schön. Wir haben sogar mehrfach einen Fuchs gesehen, der verweilte auf der Terrasse des Restaurants.

Das Frühstück war okay aber nicht speziell. Wir hätten etwas mehr Auswahl auf der Karte erwartet.

Breakfast was outstanding. Great selection, service very prompt and lovely setting. Hotel setting is stunning and the grounds amazing. Room was nicely appointed and very quiet.

Dinner was a disappointment.. Server was not very helpful when we asked questions about menu offerings. And, main entre was brought literally 2 minutes after we ordered it with salad (starter) later. Made me wonder if food had actually been pre-cooked and then just reheated as it was served at microwave speed. Felt rushed and more cafeteria-like than a fine dining experience. Staff seemed inexperienced at dinner service. Would skip dinner here and arrange elsewhere as food was not very well prepared. Was bland. RE: hotel room, heat didnt work in room and had to request a space heater, and the rugs in the room were literally wet. We commented on this the next day at check out and the front desk person said yes, he knew that. I think it odd that the hotel would not attempt to dry out the room prior to a guest's use or ensure the rugs were dry. For a hotel of this caliber, there should be more attention to detail.

השירותים בחדר היו קטנים ולא מאווררים מספיק. אוכל לא מגוון בבוקר. בערב המחירים של המסעדה מאוד יקרים.

Everything!! The views! The spacious compound. The rooms. The hiking trails. The restaurant. The staff!!!!!

Nothing. Everything was fantastic! Except that it was a bit nerve raking to drive up there! Roads very winding and narrow.

Amazing place. Everything was excellent. Definetely recommend

The location up in the hills overlooking the vineyards and the Douro River was perfect. The various walking trails with the audio tour made us feel like we were really part of the valley not just a passive tourist. The food in the restaurant was amazing as weak as the staff. Great bed and beautiful linens
