Rodeway Inn Lexington West

When looking for a place to stay, we make our choice based on location, safety, and cleanliness. This is NOT what we found at the Roadway Inn in Lexington, TN. The first room we were assigned had the smoke alarm laying on top of the microwave, not mounted on the wall, not in working order! Next, the laminate floor had not been swept or mopped; it was dirty and full of bugs. We were offered a second room. You'd think it would better, but NO! Just as dirty, not mopped or swept. The deadbolt did not work, leaving us with only a flimsy hinge-like lock NOT keeping us safe. The bed sheets were stained and had holes in them. ICK! The coffee pot -- the filter had not been changed for who knows how long! It was late in the evening. We decided to stay overnight, but never again!

What do you expect for the price?

I liked being able to pull up to the door to unload and have the comfort of our car being right there. There was also a really good Mexican Restaurant that was really good.

The lobby looked like the inside of someones apartment. The beds in the room were the cleanest things in the room. There was so much dirt on the floor we had to sweep it up while we were there because there was so much dirt. There was coins behind the door in the bathroom tub that had hair and dirt on the floor of the tub.

Pros: the staff was nice and helpful. Pool was great. Room was clean. Cons: bed was hard and uncomfortable, there's very limited tv channels to watch. Its good establishment for a one night stay, but I wouldn't stay longer than that.
