-Called day before to check about checking in an hour early the funeral we were in town for started at 3, and check in time was 3. The lady who answered the phone cut me off and was very rude. -Was charged$25 day of to check in an hour early. -there was large piece of metal poking off the bed. My husband and 3 year old daughter both hit it and had bruises. Airdropped the pic of the metal to the attendant when we checked out -mold and funk in coffee pot

I had a very poor experience at this Wingate location. Upon arrival, I was assigned a room that had a noticeable odor. After having a staff member confirm the smell, I was moved to a second room. Unfortunately, that room had a visibly unclean bathroom, including hair and debris on the toilet. I was then moved to a third room, which initially appeared acceptable. However, upon closer inspection, surfaces in the bathroom and on the counter were clearly not cleaned. At that point, I chose not to stay overnight and made alternate arrangements elsewhere. Additionally, I requested that a previously assigned room be cleaned and that a personal item be retrieved. The room was never cleaned despite multiple assurances from staff, including witnessing housekeeping acknowledge the request. This experience reflects serious issues with cleanliness standards and follow-through. I would not stay at this property again.
