Residence Lagrange Vacances Le Cristal d'Argentière

There were very helpful staff members and a relaxing reception/lounge area. The location is situated perfectly to ski the area of your choice. Grands Montets is a short walk away and La Tour an easy short bus ride. Flegere/Brevant ski area is also very easily accessible via a short bus ride. Les Houches is also nearby via a direct bus ride, although this can take about 40 minutes. The village of Argentiere is unspoiled and friendly. There are ample places to eat in the village or enjoy a drink. We will be returning next year. The area is just 8.5 hours car journey from Calais on an autoroute the whole way. The complex is located right next to the bus stop.

Fairly typical ski resort apartments small but sufficent everything is extra, wifi, car parking, sauna, cleaning kit and only get one loo role but would stay again

Enjoyable stay, clean rooms, had a 5 person room for 3 (two small bunk beds, double bed and single sofa bed). Would have struggled for more than 4 though. Bunk beds are small-ideal for children but not for adults. Has a pool as well but was luke warm. No sauna, but when asked reception state that individual rooms have saunas so need to specify at time of booking. Excellent location close to Grand Montets ski lift (this area is good but a little tough for novices). Also ski pass includes bus service which stops right outside. Short bus ride to other ski areas. All in very good value and I would return to same location again.

This place is ideal for a skiing holiday - near lifts, buses and amenities. The apartments are comfortable and the staff very friendly. I would come back again.

We were in the self-catering section of the Cristal d'Argentiere. The main room included the kitchen area. It was all fine....wasn't sure how to use the oven but found out eventually. Beds comfortable. Location is good...in centre of the village, but not noisy. Pleasant pool. Quick lift. Good parking Helpful staff.

Aside from the fact the train wasn't running due to maintenance this residence is well connected with transport options. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable and the self catering option helps to keep down the cost of longer stays. Great if you are based in Argentiere but keep in mind that if you don't have a car the last public transport back up the valley from Chamonix ends around 8pm in summer.

Excellent value for money. The experience was only slightly soured by the disappearance of a ski-boots bag. I will still come back and recommend the hotel though.

We have stayed at this hotel many times and will definitely be coming back. The quality of the accommodation is better than the shabby shoebox sized accommodation available for the same price in other resorts. My only criticism would be the trudge to and from the Grand Montets, but doorstep skiiing is not really a feature of Argentiere and the walk only takes 10 minutes or so. It would be nice if there was a nice hot jacuzzi in the pool area too. It is in a peaceful though convenient location. Excellent all round. I would recommend it to couples and families.
