Hotel le Noailles Nice Gare

Very typical small but comfortable room - twin beds, wardrobe, desk, beside tables, kettle with tea/coffee, safe, bathroom with shower. Daily maid service. Only criticism is that shower has no curtain or screen on one side turning the bathroom into more of a wetroom - so the floor gets soaking wet. Aircon in the room was very good and quiet. Flat screen TV which could get BBC News (didn't check for any other English speaking channels). Hotel is relatively small and compact. Pleasant looking from the exterior with a period facade. The inside is nice and clean and more modern looking. Very friendly and helpful reception staff who spoke very good English (much better than mon Francais). Excellent location - 300m stroll from the entrance to Gare de Nice Ville train station from where you can get trains to explore along the coast. Train prices are reasonable and trains quite frequent. The hotel is also just around the corner from a tram stop on Avenue Jean Medecin. Trams are every few minutes during the day getting less frequent into the evening/night (I think the last tram ran till about midnight). The stop near the hotel will take you down towards Place Massena, the Old Town and beyond - though this is also a pleasant walk (approx 1km to Place Massena and 2km to the Old Town). This is an excellent hotel for those on a city break who just want a clean, safe, comfortable and reputable place where they can sleep, wash and securely store their belongings.

The hotel was in a very convenient location for a solo traveller, with transport to airport, sightseeing, food and shops on its doorstep. The hotel was quiet even though it was overlooking the train station. The room was very comfortable and included a kettle, hairdryer, and toiletries.

convienient location. we were lucky not to get a room with a view of the highway. otherwise all excellent. room size, comfort of the beds, service.

The hotel was good overall, could probably use some maintenance in a few areas but nothing drastic. We were in a room facing the railway so we could hear them as they passed by but they didn't run too late so it did not affect our sleep. The hotel is in a very convenient location as you are right around the block of the main strip and the tram stops right at the street and will take you down to the beach in less than 10 minutes. Since we were taking the train, this was a very convenient location for us (3 min walk from train station). If I were to come back to Nice, I would probably stay closer to the Beach just because I wanted to spend all of my time there!

Hotel near to railway station and city center. Connection easy to every where. Sea side about 15 min walk. Wireless strong nice ! Rooms small bathroom big enough.

This hotel was in a great location! It was close to the train station to make day trips to surrounding cities! As well as, it was close to the main shopping strip that leads straight to the beach!! The room was very clean and the hotel staff was very friendly.. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone staying in the area

Our room faced the railway line. The double glazing was ineffective at keeping out external noise. The carpet was the dirtiest, most stained carpet I've ever seen in a hotel. It was impossible to have a shower without soaking the bathroom floor.

Great Great Hotel. I booked it without knowing anything about Nice. What a Gem. Next to the tram across the street from the train to Monaco. Very central. Very quiet, and very charming. Front desk was beyond helpful. One note. Don't waste money on cabs they are very exspensive, and un necessary.
