"A superb small hotel"

Super nice place! Great Location, awesome breakfast (really!), helpful staff, very nice room with high quality linens and towels. Overall a great experience. Dog friendly! We had a nice stay. Occidental is pretty quiet, but it is right in the middle of plentiful dining and recreational opportunities. Definitely take the drive on Coleman Valley road to Bodega Bay or Jenner to enjoy the beach and come back via the Russian River road.

breakfast was fine..

We are early risers, either inroom coffee makers or lobby coffee at 630 would have been good for us. Also, perhaps no mention of the stairs on your webpage could be addressed. We were fine, but someone with mobility issues, who knows.

"Weekend Escape"

This was the perfect place for a Fall weekend escape. From checking in, to the simple breakfast, to checking out. The local town was fun to explore on many levels with shops and various restaurants. It was just mellow....the antidote to a busy week.

"A pleasant stay in a beautiful area. "

Lovely inn with great service. We were in the Sugar Room, which is ADA compliant and has a door leading directly to the patio. Many places to go locally and some excellent restaurants in the area. We liked that Occidental is lesser known as a tourist destination, so not so crowded.

"Nice hotel- no early check in possible!"

The view was good and the room was very big

We called a month in advance for early check in, and called again on the drive there. Even with all this advanced notice, we were not able to check in even 10 minutes early.
