Kayu Kuning Cottage

Staff and service was amazing. They were really friendly and welcoming. We definitely recommend to stay at kayu kuning. It's a quiet area with a nice garden and beautiful pool area.

The garden was nice and that’s the only positive thing that I can say.

No hot water, no towels, only if you ask for it, insects, bugs in your room and bathroom. Even a worm appeared in our bathroom in the middle of the night, see picture attached! We asked before arriving if they have single beds, they said sure, then oh sorry only double… We booked another room from them for the next night, they said no problem, then we arrived after dinner and turns out that they have no rooms available.

The cottage was spacious, close to others to say hello, but also offering 100% privacy. The landlord was kind and quite nice. Pool garden is also very nice. I appreciated the outdoors dryer stand, not very common, at least not in places I had visited around the islands.

Some things in the interior need a little maintenance. Maybe it's my bad luck this trip, but the dogs around in the vicinity were crazy loud every now and then throughout the night.

The hot water was not working and that was not so cool.

The pool was really lovely with good sunloungers. it was nice to have own private terrace also to sit out on and they brought breakfast to you! The breakfast was really tasty even though basic. The cottages were very cute and good sized room, lovely to have a kettle too!

The location is little far from shops and difficult to get to by foot, but this is typical for the island so not a huge downside. The shower didnt drain overly well and was more of a wet room and there was no large mirror but for a two night stay not a problem!

Great fresh breakfast, nice pool area.

Only the loud cockerel bird was noisy in the morning.

Beautiful spacious room and lovely setting. Staff were extremely helpful in arranging scooters, boat trips and taxis. Breakfast was basic but tasty.

The bathroom had open vents which is for moisture escape but allows mosquitos and other insects to get inside. not a major issue though just have to keep the bathroom door closed.
