Harbor Base Inn

Room was nice and clean and had A/C. The office staff were very nice and helpful.

The room smelled of cigarettes when we arrived so we had to open the windows to air it out even though it said no smoking. The A/C was very loud to the point where it was hard to sleep. The mini fridge was so cold that there was almost no space in the freezer because ice had formed and some of our food that was in the fridge part froze. The pillows were a weird half size and lumpy.

Noisy air conditioner

Not much. Disappointing.

Unattractive impression on entering property. Lacking usual amenities, eg, ice machine, vending machines. Ground flooded when it rains. Inadequate lighting and electrical outlets in room. Noisy plumbing. Bathroom sink outside bathroom.

Tv didn’t work properly. Accommodations were outdated. Shower water was cold. Staff would not refund 2nd night of 2 night booking. I left dissatisfied after 1 night.

great price. Otherwise, wouldn't have visited Newport last weekend.

The person on the desk was polite

Dirty/ junk furniture / faucet leaked all over counter/ musty/ hole in sheet / mattress so old n worn I felt as if in a hole / hotel sign not lit had a hard time finding hotel/ WiFi not working even after a reboot by the hotel. Would NOT recommend

Location was reasonable and close to Newport attractions. The price was attractive for clean facilities. Was quiet and peaceful and close to shops and services while not in middle of touristing crowds.

Is an older motel. So is not statement in fashion. Don’t think wi fi is available.
