Orchidacea Resort

Hotel constructed on slopes of hill. From street level climb stairs up to lobby then climb up to room. Not suitable for elderly, handicap and families with infants. Kata beach 5 minutes walk from street level. Have 3 times a day one way shuttle to beach. Breakfast OK.

El hotel cuenta con una generosa piscina, la ubicación para ir a la playa no es la ideal. Esta en medio de Kata beach y Kata noi. En ambos casos hay que caminar 5/10 minutos para llegar al mar. Tuvimos algunos inconvenientes durante la estadía, incluso necesitamos ir a un hospital y los responsables en el turno noche no nos ayudaron en nada, fue muy lamentable. Ya por la mañana, otro turno y otro personal, fue todo lo opuesto. Nos ayudaron y se preocuparon por nosotros. En general pasamos malos momentos durante el final de nuestra estadía, xq se preocuparon más por cuanto y como ibamos a pagar cualquier servicio, antes que por nuestro bienestar o salud.

Leider verändert sich die Hotelszene gerade sehr deutlich in Kata - es gibt kaum mehr deutsche Reisende - stattdessen bevölkern zunehmend Russen ohne Umgangsformen, die die Preise kapput machen und sich nicht zu benehmen wissen, das Hotel. Für mich deshalb für die nächsten Jahre ein Grund dort nicht mehr hinzureisen - schade für das Hotel, das ansonsten gut ist.

Good hotel for a decent price.

Stayed for 11 nights . Very clean and conveniently located with restaurants and shops on the doorstop. 5 minute walk to Kata beach. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice . Nice pool area and always plenty of sun beds. Overall very enjoyable stay

Overall good stay. Loved pool and pool bar. Room with balcony and great view of Kata Beach. Good breakfast selection. Waiter/chef had bit of a mix up and starter offered after main was served in restaurant. So gave restaurant a miss after that, but food was ok. I think they had an off night as other guests seemed to have issues also. Walk to Kata Beach a bit tricky due to shortage of pavement and traffic, but shuttle service provided.

What a wonderful stay!! The hotel was immaculate,all the staff were immensely friendly and helpful. We had a room with stunning views that was reached by quite a few stairs so probably wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with any mobility problems. Great selection for breakfast, and a good pool and restaurant menu. Would stay again and again.

Pleasant stay, great view, convenient location. Lots of steps, good excercise but no good if you are not fit.

Great location and overall decent hotel. The ocean view was very very nice. However the overall condition of the hotel is not great - it is pretty old and some renovation is needed. Also the balcony has a great view but no privacy - you can basically your beigjbkrs if they are on their balcony too. Staff was nice. Breakfast was not good but not awful.
