"Brunch at the sand bar"

10.0

This was an great and wonderful experience. Looking for every Saturday and Sunday. Oners are great entertainers. Food was great, very good menu, space and view beyond words to express. I would definitely revisit and recommend this spot.

"Great Island experience "

10.0

My last night at the this fabulous hotel. No it's not a luxury hotel and resort catering to American tourists, but on the plus side it's not a luxury hotel catering to American tourists. Staff is fabulous and the local Bahamian food is to second to none. Much to my disappointment, they have been without plantains all week, so I bought plantains when I was in town this afternoon and the cook is making them for me for dinner. It's that kind of place.

"Exceptional"

10.0

This is a really charming family-run property right on an absolutely gorgeous beach. Rooms are lovely and well air-conditioned. We felt really taken-care of by the staff. This isn't the Four Seasons, don't expect super-luxury, but I felt welcome and accommodated in a way I never have at so-called "world class" resorts and hotels.

"Sand bar"

The sand bar is very good. Price of the food is worth it!! It was delicious and nice drinks. The ambient is nice. In a hot day it was very refreshing cause you could feel the breeze of the water. The breeze and the cold drink was refreshing

"Budget-friendly Paradise (3.5 **)"

6.0

This is a small private property on the south side, away from all the tourists. Most days we had the beach to ourselves which was quite peaceful, perfect for reading and relaxing. You can walk along for quite a while, but take water socks. The beach is not ideal for swimming - too shallow and rocky, but the snorkeling is pretty good! Lots of sea stars, snails, coral, conch, ferns and other life to keep you entertained. Yes, you need a car and best to bring supplies from home - you'll need shampoo, conditioner, tissue, paper towel, etc. There are two groceries nearby at the same prices as the larger groceries. We bought breakfast and lunch staples to make our meals and own drinks. The fridge is a good size and the freezer held a bag of ice which lasted us all week. They do have free WiFi at the Sandbar at the front of the property, but unfortunately, the WiFi signal doesn't work in the rooms. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. We had room 32 and had a little outdoor patio to hang wet suits on chairs, and an outdoor picnic table to have meals. Vanessa, the owner/operator is very accommodating. Just ask and she'll provide you with what you need. If you want the pristine white beach and party atmosphere, with five-star tiny rooms and huge prices, stay on Cable Beach or Paradise Island. The room had a functional TV in the bedroom. Bathroom was small but hey, everything worked so no complaints! This property loses two stars simply because it's too shallow to swim off the beach and there is no pool as some of the sites advertise. It's also within walking distance to Stuarts Cove dive and snorkel office / tour office if you're into that. Also, there is a pizza place and take out nearby. Yes, it is quite remote, but with a car you're really only ever 15-20 min from where you want to be. It's a different experience - again, if you expect the party scene this is not for you. If you like preparing your own meals, chatting with locals, and chilling on a natural beach, driving around, keep an open mind and give this diamond in the rough a chance.

Staff was very nice and welcoming. Room was not clean, dead bugs on wall, bathroom light was not working, dirty spoon and cups in sink. I was bit by mosquitos during the night, I had to move the table lamp to the bathroom so I can see. Water pressure was extremely poor, very difficult to take a shower. Toilet did not flush.

when we arrived at the property it was a run down dump. All the lights were off and the doors were locked! We thought we were going to be robbed in the parking lot. I cannot believe Expedia would promote such a place.

"Amazing place to stay and dive"

10.0

I flew to Nassau to scuba dive. The staff here was very kind and helpful, dedicated to making my stay great. They provided a complimentary taxi to and from the airport and the taxi man, Mr King, was friendly, courteous and prompt. This property is located in a quiet area away from the touristy parts of the island and has its own beautiful beach with covered and uncovered seating to enjoy. The water was gorgeous. There is free parking onsite but since the dive shop, Stuart Cove’s, is across the street I did not need a car. My place had a small kitchen with stove and refrigerator, a bedroom with king sized bed and a living area with a futon couch. It was very comfortable. There are two bar/restaurants onsite and one has live music on Sunday nights. The owner also has other entertainment scheduled at various times. The food here is wonderful and the pricing was very reasonable, especially, after hearing the prices for meals other divers paid where they stayed. I will definitely stay here again when I return. It is the place to stay when diving Nassau as far as I am concerned.
