Being double charged

First off I was giving the key to the room that already had someone in there, walking in to an occupied room made me wonder who was going to have access to our room. Then the room was not clean we found alot of crumbs, wrappers, and hair. To top it off there was a screw in the little basket of soaps they left us.

Location was pretty good in the downtown Lewiston area. Price was good. Room was very good: clean, functional, somewhat spacious. On this basis I stay there again.

They advertised both a pool and hot tub. I attempted to use both but due to a complete lack of maintenance neither was functional. Hot tub was 85 degrees, and staff couldn't figure out how to raise the temp. Clearly they hadn't bothered to check on the hot tube for many days or weeks. Similarly, I dipped a finger into the pool; it was COLD, as in the 60s. A non-heated pool is not a functioning pool. This part of my stay - and the advertising that prompted it - was UNacceptable.

I didn't partake of the cereal or waffles. The staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be.

The air conditioner in the room didn't want to work. It would run for a few minutes and then blew hot. The staff gave me a few tips to try to make it better, unfortunately it didn't work. The shower ran with brown/orange water for 3-5 seconds everytime you turn it on. The TV remote would change the channel, but didn't work for power or volume. Finally, there was no carousel in the microwave which was rather inconvenient trying to warm food.
