Accommodations were excellent. Staff was courteous and helpful. Rates were reasonable.

This property is in a convenient location not far from downtown Poughkeepsie and the FDR home/museum and the Vanderbilt home (which are what we came to show our grandchildren). The shower was perfect for me ---just the right pressure and height. Though it was a bit of a letdown after the more spacious Homewood Suites 2 bedroom, 2 bath units we had stayed in earlier during our trip, in fairness, it was also much less expensive, Some things to pay attention to: There was only 1 bed in each of the two bedrooms, so we "lost" the living room since one of our granddaughters had to use the sofa bed. This was clear in the description but I didn't realize how little living space would remain with the sofa bed in use. The mattress on the sofa bed was not good at all, but our granddaughter didn't mind since she is light. You will need to request the bedding at the front desk or from housekeeping, and you will need to make it up yourself. Since neither the front desk nor housekeeping picked up the phone when I called, we had to do down and pick it up in person. In general, they could do better in the housekeeping area. The configuration of the unit is very tight. With the sofa bed made up, there is little room to walk around the living room. They don't provide daily housekeeping, even on request. If you need extra towels, you'll need to request/get them yourself. My socks were visibly dirty after walking around the suite for a few hours, so I wish they had cleaned more thoroughly. If I were in the area again, I would try a different property. We are Marriott Rewards members, but we paid cash for this stay.

Stayed here for 8 nights with my two children while visiting from Texas to see my mom. Unfortunately, we received a noise complaint simply because my kids were being typical kids—nothing excessive, just normal family activity. It left us feeling very unwelcome. Housekeeping only came once during our entire stay, which was disappointing. On top of that, the hotel had a persistent bad odor throughout. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience. I do not recommend staying here and definitely wouldn’t return.

The staff were so nice the rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was good and stocked. The pool and gym were clean and in nice shape. Will definitely stay here again.

The 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite was perfect for our family of 4. And pet friendly!
