Colton Inn

Perfectly run Inn. They have thought about everything and have got the balance just right. Breakfast was simple but fantastic and the breakfast room was super cosy with a log fire lit in the corner. Beds were very comfortable. Location was excellent, very near great restaurants cafes and bakeries. A little gem!

Le petit déjeuner, comme dans beaucoup d'hôtels américain: vaisselle en plastique, café très moyen, pain de mie, confiture, céréales et c'est à peu près tout.

The building is old but very clean. The bed was very comfortable, although the pillows might be too firm for all but side sleepers with broad shoulders. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of items at the continental breakfast, especially considering that it’s only a short walk to several very nice cafes! I will choose Colton Inn for future stays in Monterey :)

The card keys are an older style that uses magnetism, not a chip—take their admonition to take care not to place the keys anywhere near a source of magnetism seriously, because you don’t want to be like me and have to get new keys prepared…
