Glynn House Inn

I cannot recommend this property enough. The proprietors are fantastic and make you feel like you are truly having an experience rather than just a stay. The breakfast is exceptional and home made with a rotating menu, and the room we stayed in (the Roosevelt Suite) felt like a home away from home. We enjoyed it so much my fiancé and I have vowed to make a stay here yearly one of our many future traditions.

The host, Glen, was very personable and attentive. The house and amenities are top notch. The breakfast was excellent with very good service and the table presentation was tasteful.

Breakfast was excellent including great company (from Blaze). Glen was super helpful with directions and suggestions .

The bed and breakfast is located in Ashton, about 20 minutes from Laconia and right next to Squam Lake. The house and rooms are very comfortable and there are many nearby areas of interest from the lakes to the mountains. Most impressive, however, the owner and host, Glynn. He is truly experienced, always ready with travel suggestions, helpful hints, funny comments, a pot of tea or anything else you might need. Very kind and knowledgeable, he made our stay very memorable. Breakfast was very tasty and there were lots of options to choose from even though we couldn’t resist the daily specials. I look forward to the opportunity to stay again.

Nothing bad

Had a lovely fall getaway here with my wife. Charming house and owner. The owner was very helpful in giving us information about the area. Breakfast was very nice too. Our gluten free and dairy free needs were catered to and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

We enjoyed the visit at the Glynn House. We stayed in the Lincoln room. It was nice for the seclusion in the Carriage house and King size bed. Having a full kitchen is nice for keeping food on longer stays. There is a fireplace in the sitting area which was the main reason we stayed there... They serve a sit down breakfast that I hear is nice but it was too early for us to partake. This is a historic property and is well kept from that perspective. The town of Ashland is a great middle ground for moving around the state(s) in all directions. There is a lot of stuff to do and the roads in NH are very well maintained.

I liked the owner. Glen was very nice and he made sure we had lots of options for places to go and things to see. The breakfast was good. The location is very good. Close to most everything. The room was very large.

There were smudges on the mirror in the bathroom. There are many stairs to our room which wouldn’t have been so bad except the second flight was quite narrow. When they were full the parking was a little tight. The layout of the room was a bit awkward. It would not be ideal for friends traveling together as the shower is open to the room.

The Inn keeper’s hospitality and sense of humor made us want to return. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options and great service. Room was easy to find, comfortable and had everything we needed. We also loved the friendly dog we passed a couple times on our way to/from the main house.
