Hotel Riu Monica - Adults Only

This is a lovely Hotel in Nerja. It was our 6th visit and as usual all of the staff were friendly and helpful. They all work so hard keeping the hotel spotless, the meals were excellent with plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner with vegetarian choices. The staff at reception are always cheerful with a smile on their face and nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms are spacious and the cleaning staff keep the rooms immaculate. There is plenty hotel is right on the beach front and about a 10 min walk into the centre of Nerja. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we have already booked for another week in November

We’ve been travelling to RIU hotels for years but had never visited RIU Monica in Nerja. As all RIU hotels the service, experience and cleanliness is just amazing! The hotel appears to accommodate a mainly older group of people. We are in our late forties and felt very young. This has its benefits as whilst a bit of jazzy music and it’s nice to see kids have fun. Sometimes it’s just nice to relax. Food is typical for RIU with a buffet style for breakfast and Dinner as this is just a Full Board hotel and not All Inclusive. Netherless it’s very tasty and something for everyone. A separate restaurant called Ole can be booked which is based on the price during your stay serving Spanish cuisine. You start with a buffet tapas counter then an à la carte menu. Can highly recommend the chicken with a blue cheese sauce! - All round a great place to stay. Don’t forget to visit Frigilana and the Caves of Nerja during your stay. The reception staff will guide you where to take transport from. Well done RIU. See you again hopefully soon.

Fabulous hotel , this hotel is immaculate! The staff are the most friendly I’ve come across. The food is delicious and it’s in the centre of town , what’s not to like . Couldn’t recommend enough .

Alles sehr gut organisiert, extrem freundliches Personal, sehr gute Verpflegung. Alles sehr sauber!

Keine Liegen und Sonnenschirme am Strand

Riu Monica is an adult-only hotel, no kids running around which we liked a lot. What one needs to realise is that we, 63&67, were bringing the average age down materially. Food was good, evening entertainment also. Location is perfect. A visit to the caves is highly recommended
