Avanti Holiday Village

Avanti Village is in a nice quiet relaxing location with some nearby restaurants and bars. It is a 30min stroll from the beautiful but busier and livelier harbour. The hotel itself is clean but it could do with a little bit of updating and freshening up. The hot water was a little bit temperamental, although this was resolved by helpful hotel staff quickly. Cleaners also did a great job of making bed, cleaning the bathroom and providing fresh towels every day. They have taken some of the trip advisor comments from last year too seriously. The majority of comments from last year seemed to be complaints about lack of activities. Well this year, it appears as if they are not taking in to consideration people who just wish to relax quietly by the pool. At 10am every morning, the "entertainment" staff would blast out terrible Europop and disturb those wanting to have a relaxing morning in the sun by the pool. This went on for a good 15minutes and then would repeat every hour until about 4pm. I understand they were trying to keep kids busy with a wide range of different activities (positive btw). It was the way they went about it which we found completely unnecessary. They should have asked around quietly if parents were happy for their kids to engage in the activities and then played the loud music nearer to the kid’s pool so as not to disturb those away from the kid’s pool who wanted to relax. Unfortunately, this did put a massive negative on our stay

perfect location. Very nice n clean swimming pool. Generous spaces around pool, with good landscaped garden/green grass. Easy reach of harbour town. Lovely walk before or after dinner. Friendly staff and reasonable prices of food and entertainment on site. Would go back tomorrow!

Excellent self catering four star apartment. Large accommodation with good shower/ bath. NICE KITCHENETTE. Apartment was cleaned every day. Nice local restaurants

Avanti Village has more character than most complexes of its size, an excellent pool, pleasant accommodation and very helpful staff. Our only criticism was that when we arrived, after midnight, we were directed to our apartment rather than being taken there. As two (tired) female travellers we did not enjoy struggling with our cases and searching for our apartment in the dark.

We weren't happy with our first room but the hotel offered us a room with a view of the pool the next morning and it was lovely. They were so helpful. The beds were really hard and so I asked if they had a matress topper and they did. :) The kids club sucked to be honest. My little boy is 5 and was excited to play football and or do outdoor activities. The club consisted of a young girl pretty much babysitting 2-3 year olds in a room with some coloring pens and a tumble mat. We were very disappointed and never really got the break we expected. The worst part was that the pool was freezing! My little boy's lips were blue within 5 minutes of going for a swim. All in all its a beautiful place but we would not be going back.
