Sandals South Coast - ALL INCLUSIVE Couples Only

Nearly every room has ocean view or partially obstructed ocean view. Lovely beach, friendly staff, and excellent dining options. Chairs tend to get reserved by early risers every morning - somewhat disappointing to see these chairs go unused for the majority of the day. The water was warm and very calm on this part of the island. Almost no shore break at all with the reef located ~200m off the beach. We felt the best breakfast option was Eleanor's, and for dinner either Eleanor's or BlueFields for the lobster. We did not try the Italian restaurant at all, but did enjoy the french cuisine one evening at Bayside. Wine options were sometimes limited - some restaurants had the cab, while others only offered the merlot or shiraz for reds. Overall very nice, and would definitely recommend.

The resort was all that we had hoped for. We had not previously been to an all inclusive resort. No additional costs were required or expected at the resort, although we needed to pay for tips at the airport and to the driver for the trip to Sandals--all worth the expense. Once we cleared customs at the airport, the Sandals people took over. The 90 minute trip to the resort was over winding roads, but gave us a chance to see the countryside. The staff went beyond their duties to make our stay pleasant. There were limited free activities at the resort. Among them were snorkeling, sailing, boat trips, entertainment and games. Most guests just seemed to want to relax near the water, eat and drink; and they did a lot of those things. Off site activities had charges for participation. What we did was worth what we paid. The six restaurants all had excellent food. We had no waits to get seated at the restaurants. Maybe one of the most surprising items was that no panhandlers were on the beach. The resort had some outside vendors some evenings, but the resort obviously controlled them very well. Every indoor part of the resort was air conditioned. The rooms were very adequate; housekeeping was always making sure the room was properly prepared. I had a misunderstanding about the scuba situation. A fee was required to learn, and I was not aware of that. But, if a person had a diving certificate, scuba trips were free.

From check in to check out was an excellent vacation. This was our 7th trip to Whitehouse and was as good as the first. All the staff are outstanding from Russell from the loyalty desk to Geaton and Tanu the life guards. Bartenders Damion and Delroy always excellent as well as Copeland and Phillip. We had a wonderfull time. Our room was kept sparkling clean by Dadrian and food was always excellent at every restaurant. If I were you I would noit hesitate to come here. If you do not have a good time at Whitehouse it is your fault and you could not have a good time anywhere you go so stay home.

The Sandals location in Jamaica was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the lack of organization by management. There was no orientation to the facility, no information about how to make charges to the room via credit card, and a list of off-site activities was not included.

We stayed at Sandals Whitehouse for 4 nights in February, including Valentine's Day. This was our first Sandals experience, and our first all-inclusive. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the transfers/check-in/check-out were managed well. For the most part, our holiday was enjoyable and relaxing but I expected more in some areas. Food quality could be improved (with the exception of Eleanor's, the choices were underwhelming), beach towels were not replenished during the day, entertainment was reminiscent of summer camp (more trivia contests than professional performances), and routine maintenance was lacking (fitness center equipment, missing toilet roll holder in public restroom, etc.).
