Hotel Oceania Saint Malo

Great location-beach and city. Dreadful parking...stressful. Sea view room was amazing. Clean room. Breakfast too pricey.

Great location, just a few minutes from the centre/walls and right on the beach. Lovely view over the sea - always a bonus. The staff were lovely and very attentive.

The property was wonderfully situated near the walls of St. Malo. It was clean and staff was super friendly.

We were in St Malo for 3 days and wanted somewhere close to the Intra Muros but with a sea view....this is the place. A 3-4 minute stroll along the promenade and you are at the gates to the walled town. Our room ( 301) was at the end of the 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the beach. The only niggles we had were housekeeping not replacing the hand towel in the (separate toilet), a failure to always replace cream for coffee and not replacing a broken dispenser for hand wash in the bathroom ( even though I left it disassembled to show it was broken....it was just put back together...but still did not work). Minor issues in the scheme of things, but unnecessary. The staff in reception, at breakfast and in the bar were friendly and bilingual for non French speakers. A fair price for the room. Breakfast was €15 pppd. It was buffet style and adequate. A nice touch was no signing for breakfast. It was settled on an “honesty” basis at checkout. We will go back when in St Malo again.

Love this Hotel. Have stayed several times and will stay again in the future.

We were upgraded to a Suite which was a lovely experience. Great views from Room and facilities. All very clean. Check in was quick and a space in garage for parking also reserved. Easy to walk into the Old Town with plenty of restaurants.

Nice hotel. Close to the old town and beach. Very good breakfast. Nice firm beds. AC. Anne at the bar is very knowledgeable of the area. Super recommendations.

Emailed hotel twice to see if I could book parking as we were travelling to France for our daughter’s wedding and were bringing the dress, bridesmaids outfit and grooms suit. There was no response! We turned up to find all streets around hotel were closed and there was no parking. The staff could not have been more unfriendly or unhelpful! I single handedly had to offload all our luggage while my husband had to drive off to find underground parking. Reverse situation the next morning! Would definitely not stay again.

Nice hotel but breakfast outrageously expensive (€17.50 per person per day) and price not exhibited anywhere so a shock on checkout. Jacuzzi agreeable but needed cleaning inside and surrounding area.
