Riad Tanjil

We enjoyed an amazing one night stay at Riad Tanjil, following a two week tour of Morocco. We chose this Riad for our last evening, as it was conveniently located near the airport and made for an easy and convenient drive to catch our flight in the early morning. A complimentary airport transfer was included, with the driver ready and waiting to take us to the airport at 5:45am. The property is gorgeous, with a lovely pool, lush surroundings, and resident peacocks roaming the grounds. A wonderful, flavourful, authentic Moroccan meal was served in the evening - one of the best dinners we had in Morocco. The owners are friendly and accommodating; Rooms are comfy and private. Overall it was a perfect stay to cap off a busy and exciting tour of the country. A hidden oasis and little piece of paradise outside the hustle and bustle of Casablanca.

Possibly one of the bedt hotel experiences I ever had.

This is not your usual airport overnight stay! Owner arranged pick up for us arriving from the train from Marrakech. We got off in Berrechid and driver picked us up, pre negotiated rate. We arrived at the riad and greeted by Fatima. She also cooked us our dinner which was really delicious! (A highlight actually, we ate every single last grain of rice. It was chicken tangine, rice, bread and soup. Simple but really well done!) This seemed to be included in our booking which was nice because there are NO options for anything in the area. Literally you are in the middle of the fields and farms. You are about 10 minutes from the aiport but don't hear the planes. The riad is also a sort of /farm/zoo. There are multiple cats, at least 4 peacocks, chickens, guinea fowl and dogs. We loved the peacocks, even though they shriek like crazy. There is a giant pool, cool water but it was still so nice to jump in. Only downsides were that the rooms were definitely dated, beds are hard (but this is just Morocco) and the bathroom needs updating. Shower was rusty and honestly just needs to be replaced. Owners were nice people, other reviews seem to rave about them but we had very little interaction with them. Staff/owners spend time sitting scrolling on their phones, which we didn't see elsewhere on our travels but I suppose up to them! Drive to the aiport was also included and Simo was on time and friendly. Overall, a great place to stay to be close to airport and avoid Casablanca.

Wow--this place is a gem. It was the perfect place to end our vacation with a free airport shuttle. It is a small guesthouse (6 rooms maybe?) run by Claire and her husband. They are delightful--so friendly and warm. We had dinner and breakfast here (both fabulous). The pool is quiet and idyllic, with the peacocks and chickens making the only sounds. The inn is filled with beautiful Moroccan rugs and furnishings, bed was comfy, and bathrooms clean and modern. They offer tours to other Moroccan cities too. We didn't have time, but judging by the kindness of the staff, I'm guessing it would be worth one's time. Highly recommend!

If you need to stay near the Casablanca airport, look no farther. This is a lovely riad with a beautiful garden and pool. They were very prompt to pick us up at the airport. We had some time in the morning and went for a walk in the surrounding countryside which is quiet and peaceful.

This place is a hidden gem! Perfect place for an overnight or even week long stay! They offer pick up from the airport and delicious dinner and breakfast! They even offer to take eon tours of Casablanca which we took advantage of and it was a fun filled day before headed back to the airport! Great people and place to stay!

I only stay as a layover for an early flight and got a hotel near the airport. It is. But the service, the food, the transportation was amazing. I wished I could have stayed longer but this def a hidden gem to stay. It is not too near Casablanca, but everything else is fabulous!

This place felt like being at home. The staff were very nice and polite. Offered us home cooked meals rich with culture. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were included. We enjoyed our stay.

Arrived in mid day...very friendly...lovely garden and pool..small hotel but deluxe rooms...complimentary dinners were excellent.

Beautiful retreat. More like a Bed and Breakfast. Perfect for travelers as the property offers free transportation to and from the airport. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Property is enclosed and surrounded by beautiful flowers. Peacocks, grouse, and chickens roam the yard. Had a pleasant chat with owner. My husband and I have decided we will definitely stay again.
