THE SHIT AND BLOOD STAINS ON OUR PILLOWS.
Quick trip for a wedding. Standard Courtyard. 3 stars down the middle. Service of the staff was below average but the rooftop bar and hang out area made up for the lack of customer service. Hotel is newer. Room and amenities were nice! Room service is every other day. Got the job done. Newer hotel. Nothing special. Gets the job done.
USThe distance to the beach was fair. We did like the park that was close by. the weather was great! We also found a few good restaurants that were close by.
The room was freezing and we couldn't regulate the ac. The fact that we had to pay to park was a shock.. We came for a getaway for our 50th anniversary and when I mentioned that to the staff they were not even interested. All the staff seemed to have an attitude.

The property itself is clean, modern, and has a friendly energy. The rooftop bar was a lovely surprise, complete with live music and a coastal breeze that practically begged for a second drink. Now, onto the “areas for improvement” — said in my nicest Southern travel-advisor tone 😄 ☕️ Morning Coffee Confusion: Saturday morning, I went in search of caffeine like a woman on a mission — only to be told there was no free coffee and that I’d need to buy a grande Starbucks. The barista looked about as thrilled to be there as I was to hear that news. The promised breakfast buffet? Missing in action. Not a croissant in sight at 8 a.m.! Sunday, same story, though a much sweeter lobby attendant offered free tall coffees (as if she knew we needed a little mercy). Still no buffet, but a few à la carte items available. 🛏 Pillow & Mattress Situation: Now, this part hurt — literally. The pillows were softer than clouds but thinner than tissue paper. I stacked three together and still felt like I was resting on lumpy pancakes. The mattress itself felt like it was auditioning for “The Princess and the Pea” — firm, springy, and definitely not fit for beauty sleep. As a major hotel brand, Marriott should specialize in rest — comfy beds, plush pillows, and strong morning coffee should be their holy trinity! 🔥 Rooftop & Ambiance: The rooftop bar was wonderful with great live music — a real highlight. But the fire tables were out of order both nights, and it was chilly. Had those been lit, it would’ve been the perfect vibe for guests to linger longer. ✨ Overall: Clean hotel, cheerful staff (mostly), great location, and fun rooftop scene. But breakfast, coffee, and bedding comfort desperately need attention.

Beautiful hotel steps from beach in Hilton Head village. Lovely rooftop bar and pool with views to beach and bay. Free local tram; lots of restaurants in walking distance. Delightful holiday experience. Bar staff need training.
