Just amazing staff and experience

I stayed at this property overnight and whole corridor was stinking , room was dirty and no soap in the washroom. We also found spider web all over the place that was pathetic. There were old biscuit wrapper and empty tea bags on the table near our bed.

It's worth five stars because it was perfect for our needs as an overnight stop.

Very compact room, bathroom is okay if you’re only small build 1.5 x 1.5 mtrs, shower area was more like a baby’s bath and thick mold growth up the sides of the wall. Staff pleasant and helpful. If the rooms were of the same quality as the bar/ restaurant areas then this would be a great hotel. Don’t think we would stay here again.

Convenient for ferry, fair price. Clean, comfy bed. Kettle in room so dirty we couldn’t use it.

Many previous reviews enquiring about late check in ability because of ferrry issues,top marks for having 24 hr reception plus electric car charging which was truly appreciated.Easy access to car parking,kettle in the room very useful.

We have been staying at the Cottage Hotel for over 18 years and find it very central for site seeing and shopping. Staff speak English which is helpful. It’s only about 14 minutes from the ferry. We have already booked to return next month
