The Embassy Inn

For the past 2 years we have had a family member in long term care so we travel from Calgary to Victoria 3 or 4 times a year. We usually stay in Abigail's Hotel but this time we had to go at the last minute due to a health emergency and Abigail's was fully booked. We chose this hotel out of desperation because of the high occupancy rate in Victoria in June. Compared to Abigail's this place was a bit disappointing. It really is a 3 star hotel even though they charge like it was a 5 star The room was fine, clean and a good size. The bed was comfortable. The maid service was very good. There was no shortage of food for breakfast but it was pretty much the same every day. The amenities in the bathroom were limited, no lotions, just soap and shampoo. Overall staying here just met our needs but did not exceed. At the room rates they charge I really resent the $25 per day parking fee.

We were not informed in advance that the hotel was undergoing renovation. There was a disturbing sound in the early morning 8-830 that woke us up unhappily.

Het bed was groot en ontzettend comfortabel.

Nou dat het niet beviel gaat te ver, maar het mag best gedateerd heten.

Clean, updated rooms plus my room was exceptionally spacious. Great to have big windows plus a balcony.

The breakfast was included but was quite uninspired
