"Wow"

We have been to many excellent hotels including all inclusive. Royal Plantation is head and shoulders above all the AI resorts we have stayed in. From the complimentary resort transfers, the butlers beach butlers and not forgetting Omar and the rest of his amazing staff. Outstanding service, food and premier branded drinks. All sea view suites complete the experience. Special mention to Bebeato and Marvin (our butlers) who looked after us. I just have one question - how does Omar know every guests name? The best advert is that EVERYONE we spoke to had booked a return visit, as we have

"We were amazed!!"

We had been to every Sandals and many multiple times except for Royal Plantation. Why we hadn’t gone here before, have no idea but so glad we finally went Feb 2026. Omar (GM) was amazing!!! He knew everyone of the guests by name. How he does this, we have no idea …. he is one of the best Sandals managers ever. Always takes the time to talk to every guest and to make sure you have everything you need …. Amazing doesn’t even begin to describe Omar!! He and his entire staff go above and beyond anything that we ever expected. They all really care and make you feel just like family. The Royal Planation is smaller than other Sandals, but this is probably what makes it so special. You feel right at home the minute you walk in. The week we were there, the weather was rather cool, but didn’t stop us from enjoying the beach, making new friends and enjoying spectacular food. Views from every angle were priceless. "Probably the best holiday decision you will make"

Another amazing stay at SRP. Only really came on here to thank all the staff who make this place something truly special. The manager Omar has made a big difference. He comes round and talks to every guest but most importantly he listens to their feedback and actually does something about it. A couple of years ago we gave some feedback and it was great to see that the resort and management had taken it on board and made changes. He and the team are doing an amazing job Sandals - you are lucky to have them! The resort is being carefully updated - not so much to lose the charm that it has, but freshened so to make everything that bit more comfortable. We liked the updates to the room and to the resort itself. The staff here are some of the best I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. Everyone from the reception, to the waiting staff, bar staff, butlers, beach butlers, spa staff, room attendants are amazing and super friendly. Big shout out to our butlers Chase, Neil and Carlos, the beach boys Trevado, Romaine and Daniello, the mighty bar team of Garnet and Junior alongside Tressil and my favourite lady in the spa Shirley. See you next January, we cannot wait to come home :)

"Exceptional"

We had an incredible experience at the Sandals spa and couldn’t be more pleased with the level of care we received from start to finish. Diana and Camille were our massage therapists and they were absolutely wonderful! They were skilled and genuinely focused on making sure we felt our best. We left feeling so much better than when we arrived, which is exactly what we hoped for. Tiffany at the front desk deserves a special shoutout. We had an issue with our appointment times, and rather than turning us away, she handled it gracefully and accommodated us without missing a beat. Samuel and Marcia were our spa attendants and did a great job showing us around and making sure we felt comfortable and oriented from the moment we walked in. The team also suggested some great products during our visit, but there was absolutely no pressure. Overall, the entire staff made this a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend the spa at Sandals and if you’re lucky enough to get this team, you’re in great hands!

"Exceptional Butler Service – Neal at Royal Plantation"

My stay at Sandals Royal Plantation was truly unforgettable thanks to my butler, Neil. From the moment I arrived, he made sure I had everything I needed and more. His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine warmth made me feel completely taken care of. Neil didn’t just provide great service—he made the experience feel personal. He anticipated what I wanted before I even asked, checked in at the perfect times, and created a level of comfort that felt like family. Every part of my stay was elevated because of him. If you’re visiting Royal Plantation, you’ll be lucky to have Neil. He made my trip exceptional.

"Our Place near Heaven"

As an overall review, we’ve had, yet again another fantastic holiday. This has been our 7th visit to SRP and being able to return for a relaxing visit and to celebrate our 32nd Wedding Anniversary, meeting old and new friends and all the regular staff has been amazing. The improvements made since the new General Manager, Omar, has started are very noticeable and much appreciated as is his very visible presence around the property. The repainting and renovations of the building, as an ongoing project and because of the recent storms from last year, is now, pretty much completed. The suites have been fully renovated and add a new more modern feel with softer furnishings, whilst retaining the original charm and design. A great job, well done for succeeding in this difficult balancing act. Marvin and Bebeato - our dream team of butlers that we’ve had on every trip, have been amazing arranging all those little essential details, booking the restaurants, suggestions for lunch on the beach, and ensuring everything runs smoothly, making for a wonderful experience and relaxing holiday. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Marvin has been our butler every year since we started coming to SRP and we hope that he and Bebeato will continue to be so on future visits, that we’ve already got booked. They are a great team and we very much appreciated all they do. Romaine, Danielle and Trevado the three Amigos….better known to all as the famous “Beach Butler” continue to entertain and delight us with new drink suggestions, conversations wonderful charm, hard work and rapid service. You get a lovely feeling from all the staff that for them, working at SRP is more than just a job and that they are genuinely happy to help guests have a fantastic holiday. This is one of the main reasons that we come back. There’s a wonderful team here. Many that we have met over the years have progressed in the organisation and others newly joining seem energised. All the staff have been exceptional and it is difficult to list all the stars but the ones that have stood out the most this year are: Samual, previously a kitchen assistant. He’s now moved to the Spa, doing a great job. I’ve been in the gym a few times and we’ve reviewed his plan….he should be a very muscular next year when we visit. Such a friendly happy kid with his amazing smile and his hope to progress. We think he will be excellent in this role and we were delighted to see him. Well done to Sandals Management for encouraging such hard working youngsters and giving them a real opportunity. A new, to us Chef Vinroy, made a fantastic lobster risotto for us and some friends from previous years on the Terrance as an evening treat. Fabulous. Demario, doing evening service on the Terrace (and other sections) was such a great guy and worked so hard on a very busy night serving and ensuring we’d drinks, the table kept tidy and that we’d a great evening. Finally serving coffee as the rest of the tables emptied. David and Abbie have kept us supplied with wonderful omelettes and assorted dishes at breakfast with such a cheerful and engaging attitude that has made breakfast time a highlight of the day. Chevanese on the Terrace, and we’ve seen her at the Grill, has been excellent, to say she’s only been here a few months she fits in so well, like she’s been here years. Her friendliness, efficiency and attention to detail is great. We are sure that she has a lot of the skills and professionalism to make a great butler at some point in the future. The Breakfast ladies, always cheerful and smiling in a morning. Stephanie, Tiana, Vanya and Sherika at the Terrace and Grill always brighten our morning with their wonderful smiles and helpfulness. Fabian, from the Water Sports, has built a formidable team on the beach that is hard working but still fun to be around whilst constantly monitoring guest activity in the water sports area and rapidly responding to any events that occur. Tivanne from the beach team, such an energetic guy, never stops. Has a wealth of knowledge and experience. He handles the Big Glass bottom boat like a pro. Lovely to chat with. We remember him from when he started at the water sports and he continues to do such a good job throughout the day in keeping the sand and equipment clean. The Terrace Hostess, is such a lovely lady with lots of charm and character ensuring we’ve been given the best service on an evening. She keeps the evening service running efficiently and is an excellent team member. We will miss our evening chats. The in-house entertainment has been very good. All three Natarki, Alex and Brandon have done excellent performances. The external entertainment has been a good range of musical bands and singers and don’t forget Bob the balancing and Fire guy, brilliant Estina, who has kept our room spotlessly clean and tidy. There are of course many, many others that have helped to make our stay wonderful and we appreciate the whole team for their hard work and amazing attitude. The only slight negatives this year: the gym equipment is less with the demise of the rower, the Cross trainer was never replaced and there’s a few missing bits on other equipment. It really needs a full overhaul and lets the standard down for this level of resort. Thank you very much for making our vacation. We will be back next year.

"Sandals Royal Plantation… Home away from Home!"

We returned last Thursday from our first trip to Jamaica and our first Sandals visit — at Sandals Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios — and it was truly the best resort experience we’ve ever had. And I mean ever. This is a quieter, intimate resort with only about 75 rooms. It’s not a party place — and that’s exactly why we loved it. The vibe is relaxed, personal, and elevated. Evenings offered great entertainment without ever feeling loud or chaotic. If you’re looking for more nightlife, Sandals Ochi next door brings the energy. The speakeasy there, The Rabbit Hole, is a must — we saw Lady Cher perform, and she is incredibly talented. If you’re a big pool person, this may not be the perfect fit unless you’re comfortable heading next door to use the larger pools. Royal Plantation is more about the beach, the butler service, and the peaceful atmosphere. The food was outstanding — the coconut lobster was out of this world… and the lamb? Phenomenal. What truly sets this resort apart is the warm atmosphere, the attention to every little detail, and the phenomenal service — you don’t just feel like a guest… you feel at home. That culture starts at the top. Omar, the resort manager, leads in a way you can feel. He knows guests by name, checks in often, and sets a tone of pride and excellence that carries throughout the property. Our butlers, Sherril and Gladstone, were exceptional. From fresh coconut and lobster lunches on the beach to running out for authentic jerk chicken — the attention to detail was next level. And the excellence didn’t stop there: Junior at the Wobbly Peacock — always welcoming and incredibly patient. Daniello on the beach — attentive and genuinely friendly. Stefnie at breakfast — the perfect way to start every morning. Tresell — outstanding service and a fantastic sense of humor. Romain (aka “Fresh Prince”) — personality and professionalism combined… and yes, shoulder massages if you ask nicely. Giovani — amazing every time he served us. Anthony — had me rolling with his sense of humor (and the random meowing!). The piano player at the French restaurant — just wow. Winston, our airport driver — we learned so much from him. Wonderful to talk to and extremely professional. Omar, the shuttle driver — hilarious. I could have sat on that shuttle all day. Sequoia — lovely to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, and absolutely stunning on Valentine’s Day. No one was ever pushy. The service felt genuine. The atmosphere felt intentional. That’s why people return year after year — and now we completely understand why. After the hurricane hit the island months ago, the resilience and pride of the Jamaican people were deeply humbling. You can see the rebuilding, but what you feel is warmth and gratitude everywhere. If you want peace, exceptional service, and a truly personal experience — this is it. We will absolutely be back. Thank you all for everything. I tried to remember everyone’s names — you were all outstanding. One Love. 🇯🇲

"Best vacation ever!"

We just got back from SRP… absolutely the most amazing and enjoyable vacation ever! Omar leads an exceptional team focused on excellence and hospitality. The more intimate resort and all butler format was new to us. What an incredible experience! Starting with our butlers, Bebeato and Marvin, the entire staff was friendly, professional, and really care about each guest. Avery was super attentive to our room, spoiling us everyday. The beach and pool butlers are great and conversation and service. Danielo made each day special and fun. The restaurants provided great food and options enough to keep us at SRP for almost all of our meals, even though shuttles run regularly to Sandals Ochi and Sandals Dunn’s River and the butlers will happily make reservations for you at restaurants at either of those resorts. Just a quick note here that we did go over to Ochi for sushi a couple evenings during our stay; Andrew the manager at Soy there runs a fantastic team making great sushi and providing a wonderful dining experience. Thanks Andrew! The bartenders and waiters across the resort are top notch. Kimiesha, Jlee, Garnet, and Junior make great drinks and quickly remember each guest’s preferences and are always ready for the next order. Another example of how special SRP is at making each guest feel like family. The waitstaff was also exceptional, with Chevon, Romaine always taking great care of us. In the Spa, Diana & Latoyell were fantastic, making a great spa morning for us on one of our days. Manesh, Sequoia, and Cymanthia were other team members in Travel and Guest Services that at first made us friends and then also made us feel like family and make SRP feel like home. The staff, the food, the drinks, the resort, all exceptional and make us sure we will be back. Thank you all at SRP!
