The Inn at Virginia Mason

Run down and smelly. Chipped paint. Backed up drain. Could not figure out how to even get in the place. It’s part of a hospital. I don’t think I’ve stayed at this rundown of a place in years. Stay at the Sorrento across the street and it’s cheaper.

Rooms too hot, no washcloths, other then that great

Great little stayover when you have a loved one at the attached hospital. It is well worn, but everything worked and was comfortable. There is no air-conditioning, but that is hardly ever an issue in the northwest. The restaurant in the lobby has a modest menu, but excellent food! All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Nice facilities. Good food at the recently opened restaurant. Great location.

It was close to the clinic

It was not clean, construction was happening, bathroom door would not close due to hinge was lose, it said WiFi and parking included and we had to pay for parking and WiFi was not secure and weak. Bed was hard, no washcloth!

The property was shut off from the street. Not really their fault but some larger signs on the fence pointing to the temporary entrance would go a long way. There was also a constant, loud hum even when the windows were closed. The front staff was fine, cordial but not super friendly. Overall the stay was ... A stay. Nothing special, super mediocre and a rather bad price/value ratio.

AC not in rooms very dated needs to be noted in summer months

Hotel personnel were helpful and quickly got me checked in before my reservation time. Thankful because I had a tour coming up that same hour and didn’t want to haul my luggage around. The only inconvenience was when I first arrived I wasn’t advised that construction going in front entrance so I circled all around location, on foot and I wasn’t advised already tired from walking from train station to hotel. I called and then they advised where to go since front was closed. Also my bathroom light was out the first night so I showered in the dark 😂 with my phone light. Next night it worked not sure if someone came during my time away but it was fine. Also no A/C only fans but I already knew this from reading other reviews. I was out all day my 4 days I stayed so I didn’t mind that part. I wanted to sit outside in the roof one night but realized no lighting up there. It would’ve been nice to enjoy night view of the city if only the roof had some type of lighting. Other than that I would stay again here because it was close to everything I had planned for my first visit to Seattle.

Staff was amazing. The property was connected to a hospital so it’s a little noisy with outdated rooms. The hotel is at the top of a steep hill. It was good over all but can improve tremendously with some updates.
