"Nice Place, Limited Service"

8.0

This was something of a mixed bag. The hotel has very nice rooms: We had a suite with a large sitting area, a kitchen, two bathrooms and a large bedroom. The wifi signal was strong and there were enough outlets. The downside is that summer service is a bit spotty: No breakfast on the premises, and no housekeeping either after our first night. This is a nice place in a very nice setting, but the service needs to improve.

"Unit 221 8 comfortable but 3 problems.. Vacasa is unresponsive and unhelpful."

6.0

Large comfortable condo #2218. But Vacasa is a disaster. Large carpet stains in hallway and bedroom. Vacasa did not get the carpets cleaned in spite of frequent assurances. When we arrived the security pass did not worked. So we were locked out of the parking garage and almost all of the resort. Turns out it expired the day we arrived and Vacasa did not renew it. 2 hours to get card activated. The air conditioner only pumped warm air the last two days. Did not bother with Vacasa. All the calls to Vacasa were handled by someone in Oregon. They had zero knowledge of this property. Unacceptable lack of service.

"Above and Beyond Service"

10.0

The customer service we received was top notch. We had to push back our stay last minute by a day due to a sick child and the hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and rebook everything. Jack B at the front desk deserves special mention for spending almost an hour trying to figure out the most cost effective way to rebook the lift tickets for the right dates. I can’t thank Jack and his team enough for their efforts and kindness. Most other hotel staff would have just given up but Jack didn’t quit until he figured it out. It really set off our trip on the right foot and just a small example of the famous deer valley customer service that keeps us coming back! Thank you again! The rest of our stay was also lovely. The shuttle to the mountain was incredibly convenient and the included breakfast was excellent (especially the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes!) We will absolutely be returning!

"Beautiful Views"

10.0

We stayed at a 3 bedroom rental in building 5 and enjoyed it! The townhouse was HUGE- 2 levels and lots of areas to sleep. Kitchen had everything needed to make a full meal. Washer and Dryer in unit. Large bathrooms. Great restaurant on the property. My fav was the coffee/hot chocolate machine in the lobby. Cute general store with all your small incidental needs and food available.

"Spectacular setting"

10.0

I was here for 3 nights for a business trip. My first time in Utah. The staff were very helpful from the moment I walked in until I checked out. The setting is beautiful with an amazing 3 story tall main lobby built with post and beam construction. Massive wooden beams highlight the design. Since this was a business trip, we were served a catered buffet for breakfast and dinner, therefore I can't comment on menu selections available, but the buffet options were excellent. An excellent stay

"Amazing service, very convenient"

10.0

The service was impeccable. Pleasant and complimentary transportation wherever you wanted to go. Extremely nice staff. Property is a little dated, our room was dated and not totally clean. We would definitely come back. Hope they update the property. Just smells old.once you know where you’re going, easy to get around but the way-finding leaves a lot to be desired.

"Not a bad option close to the resort but could be amazing if they stepped up their game"

8.0

Two families shared unit 4205/4207 over the President’s day weekend. As mentioned in other reviews - the Lodges are privately owned units which are rented out. This unit was set up well with a queen, a king, and third bedroom with bunk beds to sleep 4. There is a pullout sofa as well. Only knock on the unit is the TV - the only smart TV is located in the bunk bed room and not in the main living area. The TV in the living area is small, certainly compared to the other units we saw through the window. Kitchen was adequately appointed as we cooked in a few nights and used the outdoor grills as well. Breakfast was included for our stay and it was fantastic. Skier shuttles take you to the Snow Park base area but it can be busy so you may end up waiting to get a shuttle - better to leave early or late. Same is true returning to the Lodges. We had to walk back a few days because the shuttles couldn’t keep up. The walk is not terrible, but it is a half mile. Hot tub and pool were a big hit with everyone. The robes are not to be discounted! Very handy keeping you warm to and from the hot tub. Mountain conditions were tough - no snow here in seven weeks so it feels like east coast skiing. Corduroy would be skied off quickly and by mid day many trails were down to ice. Thankfully the resort got some snow (approx 4 inches) which helped a bit. All in - I’m not sure I would stay here again. We stayed during the holiday period so the rates were heavy but I will look for other options if we return. For this price point, I would want more services such as a restaurant capable of servicing the hotel. The Brass Tag was closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays but were also closed over the President’s Day holiday. However, I will say the Cadillac service was so very awesome. The drivers are really the face of the resort, and drivers like Doug, Pat, Michael, Peter and Matthew all made our stay great. They were so friendly and offered so much history and insider tips!

We were assigned a 1st level room with a direct view of the property dumpsters, despite the property being near empty.
