Lodges at Deer Valley

2nd year in a row to stay at this property for a family ski trip (2 children and 2 adults.) There is plenty of room for the kids to sleep on pull out couch and adults to have a separate bedroom/bathroom. The room has a full kitchen with fridge, sink, dishwasher, microwave, oven etc and the washer/dryer, gas fireplace and patio is extremely nice for this price range. Complimentary Hotel shuttle service less to deer valley in less than 5 minutes and the hotel has Cadillac suv service to transport you around town. The booking includes lots of other perks as well such as hot cocoa and cookies, garage parking and s’mores at the fire pit following skiing.

Recently stayed at the Lodges and it was a great experience. Rafael Delgado make the trip special for us and took the extra steps you expect from a hotel of this caliber. Highly recommend this place and Deer Valley.

Tons of deferred maintenance - took the staff over 90 minutes to remedy a fire alarm in the middle of the night, keeping (I assume) all guests awake. The fire department was able to fix the noise relatively promptly, however the lights (a hotel maintenance issue) continued flashing for over an hour and a half). Compensation was $100 discount for losing a night of sleep, when we paid almost $700/night to stay. GM Anthony was condescending (I’m assuming because I’m 29, far younger than the average guest) and offered to “bump it up by ‘50 bucks’” his words verbatim, which frankly is insulting. This is clearly a case of an HOA that needs to spend a little more on maintenance. The heater in the rooms has a 3 degree threshold (set to 71 and it waits until 67-68 to kick on, and then heats to 72 before turning off) so the rooms are either too hot or too cold most of the time. Door to the main area was constantly stuck open letting cold into our hallway, elevators down, elevator fire door broken so we could access our floor after the debacle was over, etc. Other than the GM, most of the other staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and our view from our suite was STUNNING. Overall I suggest finding a newer property to stay at with a better maintained building.

Great stay as always. Only frustrating part was the new key system they just installed was not letting us into the pool area, so they had to come open the pool door when we wanted to swim. I am sure though they will get this resolved quickly though. Wonderful place to stay.

Check in was smooth and easy; parking was great- underground, free and with a elevator right up to our floor. The room was very small but clean and nicely decorated. Deck barely had standing room for 2; that was a bummer with the nice weather. Blinds were broken on the door (which was also the only source of natural lighting), so that was also a bummer. We ate at Brass Tag- the restaurant just upstairs from the lobby and it was wonderful. Walked 10 minutes to our concert at the amphitheater up the road; that was super convenient. Unfortunately, the mattress was sooooo soft and uncomfortable and all 4 pillows were huge, so neither of us slept well. Check out was rather early at 10am (seems especially early when you didn't sleep well), but we were glad to head home and take naps. I assume other rooms have different mattresses?

The room was lovely and quiet. Check in was fast.

Vanessa helped me set up a surprise gift upon their arrival in our daughter & son-in-law's room. There were celebrating their first wedding anniversary. She was so kind & helpful, and they were so pleased with their gift!!

Beautiful area and spacious accommodations.

Mostly good. Clean up-to-date room. Indoor parking. Included breakfast was quite extensive. Can't say enough about how good the concierge staff was. They drove us to the mountain for skiing and then back and forth to town for dining. Very helpful. Only negatives were trying to figure the strange Utah liqueur laws and cold eggs at breakfast. We would stay there again.

It was clean. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I would definitely return
