Hotel Jardines de Nivaria

The hotel has beautiful gardens and all the public areas are well designed and pleasing. Room also was super clean and nicely furnished.

The hotel is a very good hotel with lots of facilities and amenities. There is a spa, gym and very nice swimming pool and grounds. The hotel could do with a slight revamp as it is looking a bit tired and dated. We stayed in a suite in the Masca building close to the pool with a sea view and this was very nice. Our room was a very large size with a spacious balcony with sun loungers, a table and chairs. The room was clean and well appointed. The bathroom was very large with a separate shower and bath. We had the full board meal option for convenience. The breakfast had a good range of choice. However, the lunch and dinner options were very limited for my wife who is a vegetarian. The overall quality of the food provided was okay, but could have been better. This was in the Solandra Restaurant and Cascada Restaurant for lunch. We did not try the Capula Restaurant in respect of the fine dining as the menu was very limited with poor vegetarian options. The staff were friendly and polite without being warm. We were checked in by Carlos who was very efficient and good. He provided us with a upgrade on our room. The hotel is in a good location close to the Funabashi beach, which is family friendly. The hotel is very good, but could do better to be excellent and a top 5 star hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location both close enough to the centre of activity when you wanted and tranquil when you needed

This is a lovely hotel. They were really careful in terms of covid. Cleaning tables and loungers between users, breakfast was especially impressive with individual bowls of nuts, fruit, etc and everything else served from behind the counter so no germs from other guests. We had to wear masks unless we were sitting, even outside, which seemed a bit OTT but we felt very safe. The welcome was very warm and efficient - we were offered a drink of our choice at the bar. Really all the staff without exception were wonderful, so helpful, willing to let me practice my halting spanish. On a call to reception they heard crackling on the line and came straight up to sort out the phone, unprompted. Evening entertainment was really superb - loved the saxophonist and pianist in the bar. The restaurants were all great too, especially enjoyed our evening at the supernova restaurant and las cascadas by the pool. Great selection for breakfast but staff were not very knowledgeable or always very helpful about my dairy allergy. Servers were sometimes a little too efficient clearing stuff away. One thing you should do is take the free shuttle to their sister hotel -15-20 mins- and walk along the coastal path. It's wheelchair friendly, wide, safe and stunningly beautiful views. This made a delightful change from the walk just outside jardines de nivaria which is all built up with restaurants and felt crowded. The pool is heated. The hot tub is Too vigorous so not relaxing.

This hotel is every bit worth it's 5 star status from it's stunning aesthetics to the excellent service and attentive staff. Very unique in it's look and feel.

We had a lovely 7 night stay from 25/10/21. 2 lovely garden rooms with terraces overlooking the beautiful pool area. Rooms were spacious and beds massive and very comfy. Friendly and efficient staff. Lovely breakfast buffet. We were there on a B&B basis. Lots of restaurants within minutes walk and nice beaches very close also. Pool service a bit patchy. Shop very nearby to buy snacks/drinks for room. Not too busy at the hotel. We have already booked for October half-term 2022!
